It was a mistake on her part to form that committee in the first place,we don't need any such committee to have a credible election,we have had many elections in the past without committees of that nature but they were successful,she has other commissioners and directors to work with,no need to waste money on any bogus committee at the expense of tax payers,forming committees simply means she cannot do the job,reforms are good but it should always be positive but not negative you reform to save money but not to waste money,that committee is just a way of creating another bureaucratic institution in a country full of beraucracy,she must prove to Ghanaians she can do the job without any outside assistance such as that committee like her predecessors,especially Afari Gyan.

Even if she is executive member of NDC she cannot do anything to help NDC win the election,you guys are too petty,when you won the election in 2000 you didn't complain but since you started losing because Ghanaians have realized it was a mistake to vote for you you started talking trash about the EC,the very institution that was there with the same head when you won the election,you are always singing the loser's music,if you win the commission is good but if you lose the commission is bad.

Even if we have to form a Commisdion we should rather have known political representatives to form that commission having the ruling party have one more seat than the opposition,the EC could have drawn the membership from both the NDC and the NPP while giving one or two seats to represent all the mushroom parties together,that would have been the best way instead of people who claim they don't belong to any political party which is always doubtful.

Kofi Adams is talking like a looser. Instead of addressing the issue of why the EC should form a committee to supervise elections at the blind side of all the other stake holders except NDC, and pick all its members from die hard supporters of the NDC party, the "Kotokoli House Boy" is rather trying to pick a fight with NPP for exposing the fraud and strengthening democracy in Ghana.

That Alata lady can never exonerate herself from any wrong doing anywhere in this world legally and ethically because; she is supposed to be an honest "referee" between all the political players. Moreover, apart from being bias against the other stake holders, which is a reason enough to send her packing; she also contravened the constitution by being a board member of another company.

The Electoral Commission's independence is actually being used as an excuse for doing exactly what the framers of the constitution wanted to prevent.

The framers were aware that government of the day could abuse its incumbency to interfere in electoral matters to make it easier for it to rig elections. As a result, they made the EC independent in order to prevent the government from doing so.

What is happening in Ghana today is the opposite. The NDC government is intimately in bed with the EC and the so-called "independence" is being used against all the other stakeholders in favour of the incumbent. Do we need another 100 years to be able to rule ourselves as Donald Trump said? What a shame!

The Law degree credentials are not enough when it comes to REAL LIFE scenarios. Listening to answers she gave on MyJoyonline's Ayenini interview, I gathered the woman is full of herself: a typical attitude of many Africans, especially the women who have some academic credentials.

First, since ALL stakeholders have admitted the VOTERS REGISTER is riddled with flaws, wouldn't it be a wise decision to compile a more CREDIBLE one ACCEPTABLE to ALL parties instead of EDITING the errors? Doing the former will place her outside any post-electoral blame or conflict. But editing that register rather will put her in conflict course with the party that may loose the election. COMMONSENSE should inform her this simple thing, unless she has her own interest to serve.

At times snobbish or supercilious to the host, she showed a feeling of patronizing superiority which is not typical of the position she is holding.

Can someone remind her that her position as EC chairperson is neutral, which means not having strongly marked, positive characteristics or features toward any political party. However, her decisions making so far runs parallel to the position of neutrality. Therefore, makes one not to suspect her with some secret motives.

Questions- how could she appoint 18 people to this committee without any verification of their political background? Is she ready for the task ahead of her?

This woman needs to be impeached and removed on two grounds.

First for LYING. She said that members of the committee were nominated by their organizations after she has sent letters to them to do so.So far Peace Council and NSS have come out to deny they received any letter and NDC Azumah and Arhin were rather selected by the EC without doing any background check or an interview because she knew they are NDC members she wanted on this committee.

Secondly for STEALING. Yes, for stealing. This woman was receiving two paychecks from two government agencies at the same time for six good months when she knew she was not supposed to do that.

This woman has deficient moral flaws to be the Electoral Commissioner.

Its always good to eat your own humble pie than to be forced down your throat. Auntie Charlotte why put the cart before the horse. If in deed you really recognize the impact or significance of the political parties, then you should have discussed all these with the parties before you roll down your agenda. Now if you are not careful you will be gradually losing your credibility and impartiality. Do you now want to soften your stance on the voters register? I think as an independent body who seeks to conduct a credible and impartial election, it behoves on you as the leader to get your judgement right otherwise nobody will take you serious. You might be a nice person with perhaps good intent but if you are not careful the unpopular decisions that you unilaterally take may spell out your doom and eventually fade out with history. You need to leave a good name and be acceptable as one of the best EC bosses that the country has ever had.

OH EC! SINCE I992 YOU'VE BEEN WORKING WITH & CAN STILL WORK WITH THESE PEOPLE/INSTITUTIONS WITHOUT ADVERTISING THEM IN "RED LIGHTS"! NPP NEEDS EXCUSES TO DESTABILIZE GHANA!

Look my people,don't make it as if politics is the only job one can do to make a living in Ghana,as if going into politics is the only way to put food on the table for a family,now that the steering committee is disbanded let the appointment of the steering committee be done by the let my vote count alliance(LMVCA)the pressure group, to ensure it's fairness of the political process for the country, let the (EC)Electoral commission give the mandate to LMVCA to appoint members for the steering committee to ensure free appointed representatives because it seems or it makes it looks like the EC is not doing a good job for some of the political parties in the country,some pressure groups in the country are trying as much to tanish the image of the electoral commission . The Electoral commission is an independent body established by an article of the constitution so let the EC stand so.
