Plaintiff reveals reasons behind league injunction

The Ghana Football Association has been served with a an interlocutory court injunction by the Tema court on Thursday.

The plaintiff who filed the case, Babia Alhassan a die-hard supporter filed the issue with the court requesting the court indefinitely halt the start to all football activities in Ghana – the premier league, division one and two and colts football.

Babia Alhassan in an interview with Kumasi-based Boss fm, admitted the GFA’s poor running of football and the unfair treatment of the club he supports convinced him to seek redress in court.

He said, “the Ghana football association has been treated the club I support Real Atletico unfairly and that convinced me to seek a court intervention. The rule of law is in full operation and that is exactly what I have implemented to address my grievances.”

“Even a young child knows how poorly football has been under this administration and I am not been under anyone’s influence, I am matured enough to seek clarification and justice for football., he added.

Alhassan further revealed, “we served the acting secretary of the GFA, Isaac Addo at the FA secretariat today (Thursday) and after he noticed it was a court injunction he threw it away refusing to accept but the bailiff’s presence justifies he has been served – we also served two people at the GFA.”

The GFA are yet to comment on whether they have been served or not.
