The Minister is only saying that we should be grateful to God that no life was lost. Next time read the full story before you jump to a conclusion.
In as much as safety considerations were ignored, which is not the fault of the sector Minister. We can not role out the fact a super natural force was involved to ensure that lives was saved despite the hard work of the Navy

It is understood but I want all to know that this ferry is a thing of the 18th century and must be done away with. Ghana can and must build a modern bridge over the river for a safer transport system. Why do we continue to use archaic methods and machines at this time of modern sciences? I pray that our transport ministry will wake up one day and say enough of that ferry.

However stupid she might be, she has spoken wisdom, and the best you can do is not to take her out of context.
The Minister simply meant to say, the near tragic has taught the nation a great deal of lesson when it comes to ensuring safety in our water transport system as a nation.
This harmless opinion should not in anyway warrant the vague used against the Honorable lady.
However unfortunate her opinion might sound to you, she is only re-echoing the fact that, as a nation we have to endeavor always to pick vital lessons out of tragedies that befall us as a people.
But for anything at all, I do not think the government or the Minister in any is to blame for the near tragedy that was to befall the country.
Why?
The government, neither did ask any of the passengers on board the ferry to have offload it.
It is our own doings as a people.
As a nation, it is high time we value the need to stay and do right regardless the consequences.
This is the only surest way we can ensure harmony in our national life.

All these daft people are the ones making John Mahama's government unpopular. Anyway were is the smartys cash since you signed the letter asking for payment even before an invoice was presented so you could get your share of the loot. We must see the Yeji ferry incident as a blessing especially when no lives were lost. In most cases where there have been instances like, the nation always suffers a great loss.
But for this thanks to the grace of God, all the passengers were saved. The Ministry of Transport together with the Ghana Navy must continue their collaborations so that whenever there are issues on our water bodies, they can both act to save lives. Their collaboration in rescuing the passengers on board the Yeji Ferry is one we must commend
As citizens we must learn how to obey basic laws which have been designed to protect us. The ferry nearly sank because it was overloaded.
