Ivor Greenstreet said directly to President John Mahama and Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur that: “You don’t care”.
“Nobody is feeling your better Ghana”, Greenstreet shouted when he delivered his party’s solidarity message to the NDC at the congress at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti regional Captial, Kumasi – stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”
“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”
He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”
“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”
“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”
The wheelchair-bound Politicians has been called names and criticised by leaders and supporters of the NDC after his bluntness. While Majority Leader Alban Bagbin has said he believed Greenstreet was possessed by some demons, which caused him to be “so emotional”, presidential staffer Sam George wrote on his Facebook wall that: “Ivor Greenstreet apparently needs elevation to see the Better Ghana.”
However, Nkrumah said Greenstreet’s message was crafted by the CPP to capture the mood and mind of the entire country.

Can the NDC govt boast of any of these social & economic reliefs in their eight years of being in power? they cant but rather hav destroyed the little they inherited from NPP. Where is the community police ,cocoa mass spraying, NHIS, capitation, free maternal care for pregnant women etc...?? they have collapsed all these things and now they have brought back the CASH AND CARRY system into our health sector....is that what you / we want? the insecurity in this country? *economic hardship? pregnant women suffering at hospitals because of lack of hospital beds ? etc. What the NDC govt has successfully achieved so far that has benefitted only few *paid over $200m to themselves in the name of SADA . *over $400m in the name of GYEEDA *over $100m in the name of ASOFOTON *wrongfully paid 51.2million Ghana cedis to Mr Wayomi in the name of judgement debt.. so many of them i cant even remember...
THE QUESTION IS : COULDNT THEY HAVE USED THE MONEY TO BUILD THE SUCCESSFUL COUNTRY WE ARE ALL LOOKING FOR? Q2. will a claimed caring govt spend $3.6million just to rebrand broken buses whiles hospitals needs monies for emergency purposes... its upon all these that we are saying the Mahama led NDC is a TOTAL FAILURE that should not be given a THIRD chance cos they have already messed up with the two we entrusted into their care . I have been a strong Ndc die hard fun before.I believe you have the nation at heart, if so, then lets help SAVE IT NOW from the hands of these wicked, heartless NDC people

What do you expect from a nation which has a person like Akua Donkor as the adviser. Akua Donkor has openly said he advises Mahama and he listens. I am not sure which advisory role she is playing but any role in the absence of more intelligent, competent, learned, more qualified people to give this government an advice has led to the deteriorating condition in Ghana and the nation going backward since Mahama and NDC took over the reigns of government in Ghana. But time will tell.

Chief Dele Momodu knows Ghana and even your region more than you!!! Do you even have any idea how long he has being living in Ghana and the massive and positive impact he has made on Ghana, Nigeria; his homeland and the world at large? Dele is an experienced Politician and his utterances just goes to confirm the fact that president Mahama is still the best man for Ghana despite the short term challenges which he opined is a feature of every democratic dispensation. Most importantly, Ghanaians are better-off under president Mahama. JDM's visionary act of constructing an interchange to address the vehicular traffic which plagues busy business districts like Kasoa and circle respectively alone is enough reason why JDM is still the best man for Ghana. Chief Dele Momodu definitely spoke well

The NHIS has not collapsed but improved under the NDC government. claims are being paid promptly to ensure effective health care delivery to NHIS card bearers. Premium have also been given to the aged under the caring for you initiative to access free health care delivery. 617-bed hospital project is near completion at the university of Ghana, 420-bed hospital expansion project is ongoing at the ridge hospital, 104-bed police hospital project in Accra is also near completion. several other hospitals and CHPS compounds are being built across the country to ensure effective health care delivery in the country. Talking about economic hardship, public sector workers salaries are being increased by 10% across board, utilities tariffs have been reduced by 10-15% and petroleum products by 2% to make life comfortable for Ghanaians. All these judgement debt and monies wrongfully paid to individuals and companies are being retrieved. Woyome has been ordered by the court to refund the money to the state in installment. Smattys in the buss branding saga is equally been asked to refund over 1 billion cedis to the state of which first installment have been paid just last week. RLG in the SADA issue has equally refunded monies due the state. All these clearly shows government's commitment to fighting and ending corruption in the country. The protracted power crisis which has been a great headache to Ghanaians have equally been improved and enjoying stable power supply. Ghana is really being transformed under the leadership of JDM and the electorate must re-elect him come Nov 7 to continue the good works.

The Minority New Patriotic Party (NPP) Caucus in Parliament on Thursday said the $7 billion OCTP Sankofa gas deal between the Government of Ghana and the Italian oil firm ENI, was bloated by at least two billion dollars.
“As has been stated earlier by the communications directorate of the NPP, it does appear that the contract is bloated by between two and three billion US dollars to the disadvantage of Ghana,” the Minority alleged.
Addressing a press conference in Accra, Mr William Owuraku Aidoo, MP for Afigya Kwabre South, the Minority said the inflation was to enable some government officials to bet their kickbacks.
Mr Aidoo, who is also a Member of the Mines and Energy Committee, described the agreement as a rip-off which cannot be allowed.
“In doling two billion dollars out, God knows how much somebody in government will be taking as kickback… The agreement stinks, it is a rip-off and cannot be allowed,” the Minority said.
The NPP was at a loss why the Government of Ghana would bend backwards to “sprinkle such quantum of roses in the way of ENI and Vitol.”
It said criticised the Term Sheets and Terms and conditions of the Agreement, saying it revealed “a horror tale of poor negotiations.
“The terms are skewed against Ghana, while the contactors benefit. The incentives offered to the ENI and VITOL neither obtains in other previous local agreements.
Mr Aidoo questioned the competence of the negotiators, and alleged further that “some corruption might have influenced the negotiators to enter into such a bad agreement.”
The Minority Caucus wondered why so long after the discovery of petroleum and exploitation of petroleum resource, the NDC Government has not deemed it fitting to fashion out and introduce to Parliament a Petroleum Exploration and Production Bill.
Mr Joseph Cudjoe, MP for Efia Constituency, said the Minority’s objection was the stance of all the Ghanaians who voted the 123 Minority Members to Parliament, and called on Ghanaians to reject the deal.
The Offshore Cape Three Points (OCTP) Integrated Oil and Gas Project include the combined development of the Sankofa Main, Sankofa East, Gye Nyame, Sankofa East Cenomanian and Sankofa East Campanian fields.
The former three are non-associated gas fields while the latter two are oil fields.
It is on record that the development of the fields begun in January 2015.
The fields are located within the OCTP block in the Tano Basin, at water depths ranging from 600m to 1,000m and approximately 60km off the coast of Ghana. The area covered by the fields is approximately 694km².
Eni’s subsidiary Eni Ghana Exploration and Production is the operator of the block and holds a majority stake of 47.22% in the same. Vitol Upstream Ghana holds a 37.78% interest in the block and state-owned Ghana National Petroleum Corporation holds a 15% interest, with an option to further increase its share by an additional 5%.
The offshore fields are estimated to hold approximately 1.5 trillion cubic feet (tcf) of gas and approximately 500 million barrels of oil. The reserves are expected to continuously feed Ghana’s thermal power plants for more than 20 years.
Oil production from the project is expected to start in 2017 and peak at 80,000 barrels of oil a day in 2019, whereas gas production is expected to start in 2018, with a daily production capacity of 170 million cubic feet. This would be enough to generate an additional 1,100MW of power for Ghana.
The development plan calls for the installation of subsea production systems, in addition to flowlines and risers connected to a leased floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel.
The contract for the chartering, operation and maintenance of the FPSO was awarded to Yinson Holdings in January 2015.
The charter period is for a term of 15 years with an option to extend it by five more years. The contract value is currently estimated at $2.54bn, but will increase to $3.25bn if Eni opts for the additional five-year chartering extension.
The OCTP FPSO will be converted from the Yinson Genesis tanker (formerly Ulriken) which, Yinson Holdings acquired from Golden State Petro in October 2014. It will have a storage capacity of 1.7 million barrels, oil processing capacity of 58,000 barrels a day, gas injection capacity of 150 million standard cubic feet a day (Mmscfd), and maximum future gas-export capacity of 210Mmscfd.
Gas from the fields will be processed in the FPSO and transported via a pipeline to onshore gas-receiving facilities located near the village of Sanzule in the western region of Ghana.
The gas will further be compressed and injected into the Western Corridor Gas Pipeline and supplied to domestic industrial customers. Crude oil will be stored in the FPSO and will be supplied to international markets by means of tankers.
The Ministry of Energy has further agreed to enhance the gas transmission system with compression stations and connections to industrial users, to complement the OCTP project

Policy think-tank IMANI Ghana wants President John Mahama to dissolve the board of the National Communications Authority (NCA) over a contract awarded to Afriwave.
The award-winning think-tank alleges that the NCA did not do due diligence in the award of the contract to Afriwave telecom to operate an Interconnect Clearinghouse.
The NCA in December, 2014 set up a selection committee to evaluate applications from companies to bid for the establishment of the clearing service for the telecommunication industry.
Afriwave which is a Ghanaian based company was awarded a licence by the NCA to operate the clearing service following recommendations by the eight member evaluation committee chaired by Albert E. Enninful.
But Executive Director of Imani, Franklin Cudjoe says a leaked document in their possession shows inconsistencies in the scores awarded Afriwave at the evaluation stage.
William Tevie, the Director General of the NCA maintains that the process leading up to the award of the contract had been fair and transparent.
However, Imani insists the NCA board must be dissolved and the process reinstituted.
Its Executive Director, Cudjoe, also dismissed speculations that one of the applicants, Suba Infosolutions leaked documents to IMANI to denigrate Afriwave and NCA.
“We got it from a member of the committee itself and I am not ready to disclose the name and it is not fake,” Cudjoe said.

Head of Communications at the Presidency, Stan Xoese Dogbe, has reacted angrily to reports making rounds in a section of the media to the effect that he engineered the murder of the late Member of Parliament for Abuakwa North, John Boakye Danquah-Adu.
Mr Danquah-Adu was murdered in his home in the wee hours of Tuesday by assailants who used a ladder to access his bedroom before stabbing him several times, according to the police.
On Thursday, the police arrested a young man whom they suspect was responsible for the MP’s killing, and launched a search for who they said were his accomplices.
By Friday, social media had been inundated with news that the mastermind of the killing was Stan Dogbe and that he had been invited by the security agencies to answer questions relating to the murder.
Some of the claims sighted by Graphic Online said that information had been retrieved from the late MP’s phone, which indicated that he had been threatened by Mr Dogbe a few days before his death.
The New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong, is said to have made reference to this on Accra-based Oman FM on Thursday, but had not mentioned Mr Dogbe by name.
Mr Agyapong reportedly added that the President, John Mahama, would be impeached if he was found to have had a hand in the MP’s killing.
But reacting to the claims in a Facebook post on Friday, Mr Dogbe denied having been involved in “any murder or criminal act”.
He attributed the rumours to elements within the NPP, who he said were pursuing a strategy of painting President Mahama black because the NPP did not have a campaign message.
“It's their campaign strategy, probably outlined for them by their hardworking strategists- continue to publish falsehood about the President and eventual winner of the 2016 elections and his team,” he said, adding: “I have not been invited by any security agency, I have not been involved in any murder or criminal act.”
Mr Dogbe also called on the flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo to call his “army” to order.
“…let your army help design a message for you for the election instead of this [sic] disgraceful things they are engineered to engage in,” he wrote.

If you have evidence to back this clueless and baseless claims, then kindly do your civic duty by going to the courts and seek redress. But where were the NPP patriotic voices when the E.O group was dubiously acquiring shares in the jubilee oil fields and also selling state lands of the GA people to the NPP cronies? Forgive Dele Momodu. If you happen to come from the zoo (Ibos describe Nigeria as a zoo) called Nigeria, a criminal like Mahama would be seen as Christ himself. No surprises here, my friends. Ghanaian exceptionalism needs no further trumpeting and we don't need to hear it from characters like Momodu. We know ourselves better than any strangers will ever know us. Ghanaians never shout about our achievements, unlike somebody (aosmasi) we all know. We know it when we see it. By the way, how much of the loot has Momodu stashed in Ghana over the years? Does his status as someone seeking refuge in our country allow Momodu to dabble in our politics in any way?

@Okonore, the Ibos who describe Nigeria as a zoo are themselves the lost goats of Nigerian territory who have declared themselves stateless in the wake of their senseless agitation for seccession cos, the South Eastern corridor Nigeria they currently occupy is statutory Nigerian territory. Check out the streets of Ghana and across West Africa and sample out the large number of Ibos in wilderness committing all manner of crime under the citizenship identity of being Nigerians. Ibos are a lost normadic tribe whose aimless migrations are reminescent of the Syrian and Kurdish tribe of North Eastern Turkey.

President Mahama came to serve Ghanaians and to transform Ghana and make
life better and comfortable for them. Woyomen has been ordered by the court
to refund the judgement debt wrongfully paid to him. Today, public sector
workers are very happy to have JDM as their president because he is a
listening president. 10% increment in public sector workers salaries have
been effected. The hikes in utility tariffs by the PURC have been reduced
drastically with government's intervention. Ghanaians are no longer
complaining about dumsor due to stable in power supply.

What is thisDele Momodu saying, he should have realized by now, if he really understands our politics and has lived long enough in Ghana,he would have observed that any time the NDC is in power the plight of the people of this country called Ghana goes from bad to some thing else, he should stop his hipocrisy and hero worshipping and tell the truth if really cares about Ghana our dear nation and stop the pretense."na infrastructure we sea eat".He should go and live in Buhari's Nigeria and offer his lofty praises to him.Dele you feel you have not been heard in pretty while and you want to make noise, well let me tell you, and advice you, if you don't have any thing to say or do, please do not do it hear in Ghana, or we will get livid with you.If you care to know,a decorated donkey is still an ass.And if you really think about the welfare of the ordinary man on the street, you will not be wasting our ears about this dude called Mahama, after all you never said any thing good about Former President Kufuor, who brought Ghana from zero status to hero status. Please do not provoke our intelligence, if your country were a bed of roses you would not be here enjoying peace and tranquility. Put pen to paper and tell it as it is, and how it should be.
