A very true statement by Adu Amankwaa. I remember Samia calling Paa Kwasi Nduom as a fool, leading to his resignation from the party and forming his own PPP, which is the third force in Ghana now, per the 2012 election results. If Nduom had stayed, it'd have inured to the benefit of the party. It's good Samia was rejected.

AUTHOR : TIMBUKTU - - - - - - WHY DO I WANT NANA TO WIN? UNLIKE KUFFOUR, NANA HAS THE BALLS TO JAIL ALL THESE NDC CRIMINAL MOTHER-FUCKERS! Things are improving FAST in Tanzania, Nigeria, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, etc, because they now have no-nonsense, incorruptible presidents who are determined to improve the socio-economic statuses of their respective countries. Ghana too MUST change for the better. Ghana NEEDS Akuffo Addo!

WHAT WAS HE ABLE TO DO WHEN HE WAS THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, HE COULD NOT EVEN MUCH TSATSU, EVEN ON THE FIRST CHARGE SHEET, IT READ THE PRESIDENT VS TSATSU, SHAME, IS HE GOING TO TRUMP UP CHARGES? AND BY THE WAY WHICH NDC GUYS IS HE GOING TO JAIL? SOMETIMES YOU SIT IN THE CORNERS OF YOU ROOMS AND DREAM, ARE YOU THE ONE WHO IS GOING TO DO THE INVESTIGATIONS?. GHANA DOES NOT NEED A VINDICTIVE, DIVISIVE, UNINTELLIGENT 72 YEAR OLD MAN LIKE NANA ADDO TO RUIN OUR DESTINY FOR US, WE NEED STABILITY, PEACE AND UNITY TO MOVE FORWARD AS A NATION.

SAMIA IS DECISIVE, NOT DIVISIVE!!!
I find it strange that one good week after winning the flag-bearer race, the group that claims to be "unifiers", are rather the ones making comments that are divisive, meaningless, and unnecessary. Yet, we understand why they feel compelled to pull the spin of "unifyer" versus "divisiveness".
There seems to be more than meets the eye here, as no specific examples, or further and better particulars seem to follow these charges of "divisiveness" on the part of Samia.
One would have thought that this would be the time for the so-called "unifyers" to be seen to be reaching out their arms to everyone in the Party. Apparently, the arms appear to be for all, except Samia, who came second in the contest. She obviously represents a significant constituency in the Party and beyond. Hence, anyone interested in unification would begin from there, rather than antagonizing her.
The first thing the CPP needs is the clarity of their positions and why the Party offers a credible alternative to the NPP/NDC duopoly of Ghana's political terrain. That is what brings people together. Samia's contribution in charting this independent course, speaks for itself. Under the leadership, the Central Committee of the CPP took a stand against the imposition of GMOs on Ghanaians. A position the NPP also secretly supports.
The CPP has so far been the only Party which has been opposing GMOs under Samia. Of course, Dr. Abu Sakara, an agronomist, was opposed to this. He wanted the CPP to accept the introduction of GMOs into our food chain. His stance on GMOs dogged him until he gave up any pretensions to contest under the CPP. So what does the "neutrality" of Greenstreet mean? Is he going to buy into the Abu Sakara pro-GMO position and drop the anti-GMO campaign initiated by Samia in the Party?
What the CPP needs is the consistency that is beginning to win a lot of support and respect for itself, both locally and internationally. This is something people like Susan Adu Amankwaa would not want discussed. She is pro-GMO being promoted by USAID. And even though the Institute she works with has been receiving hundreds of thousands of dollars from the USAID, she sees no conflict of interest in her hostility to Samia and the anti-GMO campaign.
80% of Ghanaians do not want GMOs, according to their own statistics. Both the ruling NDC and the main opposition, the NPP are all in bed with the corporations behind the moves to impose GMOs on Ghanaians. They are doing everything in the power to disenfranchise Ghanaians from having an anti-GMO alternative as a political choice. That is why they would be ready to pay for the congress to go in one direction rather than the other.
They now think they can cover up their mischief with name-calling! The anti-GMOs are considered "divisive", whilst the pro-GMOs become "unifyers"! Samia was right in opposing GMOs and refusing to be bought or intimidated. I pray she remains strong despite these silly attacks. This stupidity will not last long. They are going to expose themselves with their own contradictions, and die off with their sheer irrelevance. Ghanaians were expecting from the CPP, a credible alternative to the NDC and the NPP, not more of the same thing!

Thanks a lot, Mr. Concerned,
I share your optimism on GMOs in Ghana, and hope our voices are not being disenfranchised right in front of our very noses! But be that as it may, the question that remains for people trying to unify the party is by attacking the second leading contender publicly.
My focus was rather on this strange behaviour. If I may remind you, I wrote in the earlier post:
"I find it strange that one good week after winning the flag-bearer race, the group that claims to be "unifiers", are rather the ones making comments that are divisive, meaningless, and unnecessary. Yet, we understand why they feel compelled to pull the spin of "unifyer" versus "divisiveness".

Your own reaction shows how more fuel can be poured of fire instead of fire-fighting!
