If Mahama hadn't stolen the nomination from his own party in 2012, I don't think NDC would've nominated someone accused of inflating prices of airplanes by millions of dollars corruptly as their presidential candidate. After the undemocratic nomination and fictitious endorsement, he slept in bed with the EC and Atugubah to steal the verdict of Ghanaians and became president fraudulently.
Unfortunately, the Orwellian, undemocratic and one candidate contests used to be seen in the erstwhile Soviet Union has been forced on the NDC party again, after pushing out Mr. George Boateng violently and tagging him with insanity for daring to contest the slot against Mahama. As a result, the biggest "patapaa" in Ghana has been declared unopposed presidential candidate in his party. The truth is that, Mr. Mahama is undemocratic communist relic doing everything to cling to power, but I believe Ghanaians will not allow him to rig the elections again as he did in 2012.
Mahama is not only leading the most corrupt government in the history of Ghana, he himself is very corrupt and rotten to the core. Ghanaians will surly get rid of him in 2016 even if he is still in bed with the EC. He will go because the corrupt judges have now been exposed and Ghanaians too are fed up with his incompetence, corruption and underperforming administration. As Mr. Amidu rightly pointed out, he is soiling the good name of northerners in the country.

We are still waiting for the Supreme Court to interpret Article 70(2) of the constitution. We believe that the "Maradona" undemocratic action taken by Mr. Mahama to appoint Charlotte Osei as the EC chair did not reflect the letter and spirit of the above mentioned article. But that has nothing to do with whether the lady appointed is qualified, fit to be the chairperson or not. In fact, that is a separate matter altogether.
Mr. Mahama should've waited for the Supreme Court ruling on the matter before appointing the lady, and there was no need for him to rush in order to jump the gun. We believe that he panicked because there was real possibility that the SC would decide against their myopic, narrow and dictatorial interpretation of the constitution that allows the president to appoint an EC boss including its members contrary to fair play and common sense. Those who argue against his powers to do so substantively have valid points. One of them is that since the president is also a political player, he should not be allowed to substantively appoint the referee, and we don't believe the constitution allows such a thing.
No matter the type of cut and paste constitution we may have, we don't believe the framers intended to give undue advantage to one political player over all the others. Even though we know that it was written under the P/NDC military dictatorship that wanted to control every institution to its advantage, twisted the neck of Article 70(2) to appoint the discredited first EC chairman in order to perpetuate their rule. This undemocratic precedent does not mean that it was the right thing to do and we should not allow the undemocratic process to continue indefinitely in our democratic dispensation.

"In conclusion, the President’s power to appoint the Chairman and Members of the EC is merely a ministerial one. The substantive power of appointment is assigned to the Council of State. The President shall act on the advice of the Council of State means the President is barred from the nomination, vetting and selection process. Those who framed the Constitution were keenly aware of the impropriety inherent in allowing the President, a political player, to play a critical role in selecting the political referee. Nevertheless, out of deference for the office of the President, the framers allowed him, as the Chief Executive Officer, the honour of “appointing” the candidate selected by the Council of State. In this case, all the President is required to do is to issue the appointment letter under the Presidential seal but no more."

Even though I also think that Mahama is a monumental failure, his shortcomings become insignificant when I read or hear comments by people of the likes of Mahmoud.
Mahmoud sends shudders down my spine as to what would become of this country when or if Mahama is replaced - possibly by the NPP whose sentiments he Mahmoud eloquently portrays under the cover of the pen name Mahmoud. His reckless mentality gives me the impression that he is one of those shameless NPP characters who like Danquah Afrifa, Busia and their pathetic ilk, are routinely paid in one form or another by foreign countries/agents to put impediments in the way of developing countries such as Ghana.
For starters there is nothing at all about Mahama which suggests that he is a communist or anything near that. Communists are intelligent and good people who actively helped Ghana and Africa gain our independence from hundreds of years of greedy avaricious, murderous, genocidal and evil capitalists/imperialists. If we had any sense or self-respect, those rather are the people who should be our enemies and not communists. I do not recollect any time in our history where communists enslaved and murdered millions of Africans. I do not recollect any time in our history where communists rampantly looted zillions of dollars worth of our human and material resources.
President Mahama, on the contrary, comports himself in the same and exact like-manner of capitalists/imperialists – that is, everything that communists passionately stand against. Mahama portrays the despicable but proud sentiments of uncontrollable greed, materialistic gluttony, infernal corruption, ethnic bigotry, ineptitude, shameless exploitation of the people and their resources and insatiable covetousness.
Like all other passionate capitalists, Mahmoud has not got a clue as to what he is talking about when he makes illiterate references as to President Mahama being a communist. As far as he Mahmoud knows, he is only following the instructions of his slave-masters when he uses the word ‘communist’, which has been demonized by his imperialist overlords, to belittle the adversaries of true freedom, justice and independence. He only parrots what has been callously and forcibly dumped into his head after his oppressors removed all the grey matter therein. He is now just a kolinko of the capitalists/imperialist pig-sty, an Uncle Tom and a house-nigger to boot.

The communist system is not only about central control of the means of production in a given country as opposed to private ownership and market forces, it also has another component that is more difficult to part with. And that is one party state, dictatorship and undemocratic ways of gaining power and keeping it.
Almost all the communist countries have now thrown away the economic aspect but cling to the political component to remain in power fraudulently. Like their comrades in the "socialist" world, Communist relics in Ghana, after Nkrumah, have also discarded the economic aspect and still cling to the undemocratic tenets of their failed religion, and that is where Acheampong, Rawlings and Mahama belong. Moreover, they were all Young Pioneers.

Mahmoud you can do yourself a favour by at least making the effort to read and study the principles of socialism/communism - if only just so that you can advance respectable arguments and avoid making yourself sound like a little boy.
Even members of the extreme far-right racist British National Party, the Ku Klux Klan of America, Le Pens Front Nationale of France and the Neo-Nazi movement of Europe, who like you, also hate communism/socialism with a passion, would not show so much ignorance about that ideology.
Continuously defecating what your oppressors have dumped into your brain, through your mouth, about socialism/communism, only sadly exposes how deep and utterly hopeless the condition of your illiteracy is.
Why dont you just simply admit that you are being paid to be a kolinko? That will save all of us the trouble and the futility of trying to make sense to each other. JB Danquah, in spite of the massive and incontrovertible evidence available to the effect that he was being paid to undermine the development of Ghana and Africa, made the same mistake of denying that he was a treacherous turn-coat - and look at where he ended - in the rubbish bins of history.
Now whether insignificant people like you like it or not, whether you despise Kwame Nkrumah or not, the man is increasingly being recognized all over the world as one of the worlds greatest statesmen.
Even if you put all his human ills and shortcomings together - whether he was a part-time capitalist, communist, anarchist, terrorist or a dictator or not, his indelible and unparalleled record as the man who initiated the freedom of over 800 million African people from the tyranny of slavery/colonialism/capitalism/imperialism and hundreds of years of horrific menial subservience is not and can never be anywhere as bad as the best records of your slave-masters.
