TOR has been crippled for the past seven years just to allow party cronies and friends of Mahama to make huge profits from the importation of finished petroleum products. President Kufour handed over a running oil refinery called TOR to President Mills. We can't quantify the losses that the nation has incurred as a result of all these ***barred word*** dealings of Mills and Mahama as well as their appointees. In 2011 Alex Mould, as the CEO of NPA questioned the reason why TOR should be kept in operation. He said TOR should remained closed and should be sold because it would never be profitable. Why are we now trying to revive TOR now. In 2010 we lost several trained technicians and other experts to Oil Refineries in the Middle East due to the administration's desire to keep our only refinery closed. Mahama intentionally wanted to make it look like it was a waste on the public purse so they could sell it to themselves through their surrogate companies in the Middle East. The name of a Saudi refinery came up and it was discussed at length at the highest level. The level of st-ea-ling and ***barred word*** activities of the president and his associates will kill the economy of this country if we allow the same team to run the country after this year. The national debt has increased from GHC9 billion to GHC95 billion in seven years. What legacy are we leaving for our next generation if we saddle generations yet unborn with crippling debt? Stea-ling has become the order of the day, being wrongly described as corruption.
