The practice of tagging one political party or the other to drugs dealing did not start today. And in politics it is alright to do so. It is just one of the activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power. What is important is how we as a nation - government and governed - handle such issues when they come up. A recent example is how the Nayele cocaine issue was handled. Government officials stepped in to try to offer excuses and rationalizations on behalf of the lady. Other people were arrested and sent to court only for the Attorney General to decided government was no longer interested in prosecuting the case without offering any explanation to Ghanaians. With the brouhaha running about as to how Nayele outwitted, or was aided by, security at KIA and officialdom it only takes a foolhardy government who have no regard to public opinion and safety of the governed that would go the way the AG took this case. That is why drug issues will remain part of the politicking. The advice is if you put yourself up as an official of a political party do the right thing so your office is not brought into disrepute. There is nothing wrong for example, for the Daily Guide to attach an offending official of Ghana Airways (defunct, I know) who is arrested at Heathrow with cocaine to his office with Ghana Aiways. Same will be alright if an MP was caught with cocaine and is reported as such. It will be political but the truth will remain supreme. Political party office holders are just like any other public office holder. It is very apt to identify them with their offices and how they hold themselves both in their private lives and public behavior. Tribal or ethnic politics must be looked at from a different but more consuming terrain.

Many Ghanaians and foreigners get news and information about Ghana from GhanaWeb. One would expect GhanaWeb to be circumspect in the choice of what they put on their website for the whole world to read. The media houses in Ghana are run and staffed by lazy people who are only after money. They spew any trash at times just to fill their newspaper pages. Sometimes articles from some of the papers seem to come from the stone age when there were no word processors. It degrades GhanaWeb to have such articles with grammar, spelling and construction mistakes on the site.
The fact that stories are in Ghanaian newspapers does not mean that GhanaWeb should copy and paste any trash on its website. There are several papers to pick and choose quality articles from.
This story about an NDC man arrested in UK will never make it to any editor's desk anywhere in the world let alone being published, apart from Ghana.
Please GhanaWeb leave the political sensationalism aside and stay focused on providing the good service you are known for.

Your nonsense about Ghanaian journalists being lazy, holds true for yourself. You cannot even arrange the simple coordination of tenses of the title of your own comment properly, yet, you have the gall to accuse Ghanaian media houses of presenting articles from the stone age. There are also arrangements in writing that are called paragraphs. In-between each paragraph, one has to leave a line of space to distinguish one paragraph from the other. This is taught in primary school in Ghana. I do not know whether you made to the primary school level or not but clearly you are amiss of this basic fact. So who is from the stone-age?
Ghanaian journalists do indeed have drawbacks arising mainly from lack of good working conditions and bad salaries which as far as I am concerned are excusable even though not acceptable under their circumstances. I would however rather read stories from Ghanaian journalists than the racist prejudiced rubbish from media institutions like the British Independent, the Guardian, the BBC and the rest of them who whilst running on multi-million annual budgets, cannot distinguish the difference between African countries and the African continent. As for their grammar, it makes it seem that it is rather the bad Ghanaian journalists who by comparison are the native speakers of the English language.
If Ghanaian journalists and staff are only after money as you claim, it is a good thing for which I would commend and applaud them for - who doesn't? At least it is better than those clumsy, ignorant, prejudiced evil European journalists whose only apparent aim, is to undermine and destroy other peoples countries with their lies and misinformation. What utter nonsense and rubbish are we not witness to on a daily basis about lets say the President of Zimbabwe? He only has to trip in public and the story is made to freeze on the front pages of hundreds of European newspapers for days and weeks at a time. In Ghana such racist imperialist nonsense will also not make it to the editors desk much more to be published.
Retards like you will of course not see anything wrong about the flaws of the bigoted western media because your brain has been so mutilated as to praise all abuse discreetly aimed at your person and race.
As for Ghanaweb, they have their fair share of spasmodic flaws like any other institution and we do not need your misplaced criticism to tell us.
