Why will the CPP do a recycling of leadership by presenting another "old" face after Abu Sakhara? Doesn't this Party know of freshness in politics as the basis of winning? They should go and ask Canada how a fresh face with a well respected name pulled a surprise.

I can assure you that the NDC is not the cause of the CPPs downfall.

The downfall of the CPP is mired in the general political vacuum that Ghanaians are presently suffering from.
Take the NDC, the ruling party for example. There is not one single person in that whole party who one can describe as an honorable, respectful and meaningful politician. They have no difficulty at all in presenting themselves as a bunch of brigands who are out to rip-off the country as much as they can accomplish within the permissible limited time frame of governance.
The NPP is slightly better in terms of its ideological orientation and sense of purpose, than the NDC. In addition, they seem to have a few respectable and principled people in their party.
The CPP, the oldest and the most ideologically resourced political organization in Ghana and perhaps in Africa, have not been able to accomplish anything for itself since its regrouping a couple of decades ago. The party has barely managed to survive - only by hanging onto its past glories. It is for this same obtuse reason that Samia Nkrumah was dug up out of the 'scrap-heap' to lead the party. As anticipated by discerning observers, Samia has only managed thus far, to dig the grave of the CPP, deeper for its imminent burial.
The PPP is run by a man who is better described as the CEO of that party. He is the be-all and the end-all of that party. The party has no perceptible ideological orientation of any kind and instead, they have opted to pursue some untested mirage of a 10-point program that for good measure, was commandeered from the elements of nature by their CEO. Most party executives of the PPP, are employees of the CEO.
