Leicester set to land Daniel Amartey

...after Copenhagen accept £5m bid for defender


Leicester City are discussing a £5million move for FC Copenhagen defender Daniel Amartey.

The 21-year-old is a Ghana international and Leicester failed in a bid to sign him in August.

Copenhagen have confirmed they have received a bid from Leicester for Amartey, who can play also play in midfield.

A Copenhagen statement said: 'There has been rumours in the press about FC Copenhagen considering selling Daniel Amartey to the English club Leicester City.
'FC Copenhagen can confirm that we have received an offer on Daniel Amartey from Leicester City FC. Right now there’s talks between the two clubs.

'We will send out a new press release if a final agreement is reached.'
