It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution

Indiscreet and insensitive statements like this by a person who has been appointed to head the EC by a govt whose stay in power was largely determined by either the dishonesty or incompetence of Afari-Gyan, now confirms to all of us that the woman is not impartial.

So far everything that has come out of her mouth over the past few days, shows that she has been put into that position to do a hatchet job for the NDC.

At the very least, even if she is not partisan, this woman is not mature enough to hold such a sensitive public position. She should know that the subject of Afari-Djan raise strong emotions in the public domain and for her to overlook those concerns and to go ahead and publicly praise him simply means that she is either looking for trouble or she is not sensible enough to know what she is doing or where she is at.

I do not hold any political sympathies for the NPP but looking at current developments, I have a deep worry about the future of the country.

Ghanaians should not be timid and cowards. People in power do whatever it pleases them so long as there is a reward for them. They just do not care, and the evidences are everywhere.

For example the decision to bring convicted terrorists to Ghana was not even debated in parliament.

Hannah Tetteh and Mahama took Ghana for granted as their personal property and allow two dangerous terrorists who no country wants into the country. Something even people of Bukano Faso will never allow. Yet it can easily be allowed in Ghana. Hannah Tetteh is one of the big liars in Ghana politics.

In other words, you have been doing the work of NDC. You are being controlled by NDC. You are told what to say. You are told strategies to use so as not to create a much-needed new voter's register. In fact, you have been assigned special people to help you in doing that. The way you are handling issues as EC Boss is well noted by Ghanaians with sound minds. Right now, it is just too late for you to hear the voices of other parties. You are into the game of NDC too much. A change has to come and it can only come by way of pressure from developed countries and the suffering masses in Ghana. Yes, it is the only way you may breathe some fresh air.
