1. Ghana's major problem is our lack of robust systems of identification and district, regional, national databases to network. So anything is possible during elections.

2. Another Ghana deficiency is our dispensation of unitary versus federal state which is stagnating the country's progress.

3. What happened to the constitutional review committee white paper, or recommendations for decentralization implementation?

4. Why should parliament be rendered useless or appendage to the executive to rubber stamp loans and what not?

5. Does separation of powers exist in the country and if so, why should we have executive and executive appendage, parliament?

6. Is the country going to write a new constitution or implement the CRC recommendations/white paper to supplant this flawed constitution?

That's my view. The qualifications of a person isn't proof of integrity. In Ghana, most people can be bought. Secondly, they can't solve issue of ineligible voters, a matter Osei is keen to bury.

There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

Remember the wise saying by former US president John Kennedy. He said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country". Unquote. At times, we should all sacrifice a little to push the nation to some level.

To employ semi-literates as presiding officers at the polling stations, is clearly not the best. It must therefore be very much welcome for well educated persons like chattered accountants and lawyers to express interest in volunteering to participate in election 2016. In fact all the presiding officers this year should have a minimum qualification of a first degree from a recognised university.
