NDC propaganda machinery tell us all Ghanaians are corrupt and born so but i beg to differ.When we take tro tro or a taxi there is no ndc foot soldier there to try make us pay a bribe before we can get in ,when i go and buy kenkey or even roasted plantain kofi brokeman there is no need to bribe anyone , no one needs to bribe the farmer,fisherman,market woman, teachers or private businessmen to do their jobs or render services.The moment i come close to anything where the ndc has a foot hold then the agony anguish and frustrations start as they demand bribes or foolish payments especially when they find out i am Akan.I notice that the modus operandi of crime,discrimination,injustices,prejudice,tribalism,hegemony,cruelty,buga buga bullying and corruption always has one common denominating factor and that is NDC membership. The first thing any criminal does is ensures he is above the law and seeks NDC membership,then the game of double standards start.If they are Ewes , Northerners or satellite allies such as the Gas/Adas then they are truly untouchable,if they are Akan then they can be used as sacrificial scapegoats(see Vicky Hammah and compare to Dzifa Dattivor rebranding).Yes NDC has become an accursed abomination that has put a dark cloud over the people.They know nothing about democracy or understand the principle of unity in diversity so assume a difference in opinion or approach is a sign of crumbling fortunes or disaster. They do not see that even though the Russians and Americans are always competing with each other they think that they are enemies but do not notice in every major war they are always allies on the same side ,the same way they interpret the diversity of the Akans to mean enmity which they think they can exploit. Turkey tried it but were surprised when the CIA confirmed the Russians were speaking the truth . That is the mindset of outsiders , foreigners and manipulative Muslim rats.These people can never be Ghanaians and must be driven out of our country so we have our peace of mind.We should employ the tactics , strategies and principles in Sun Tzu's Art of War "I will force the enemy to take our strength for weakness, and our weakness for strength, and thus will turn his strength into weakness" NDC are the enemy and we shall serve them such a resounding defeat that for the next 1000 years nobody will dream of enslaving our people ever again. They are afraid of encouraging unity in in diversity , equal rights for all as all they know is ONE mind NO brains as we see in primitive societies and countries like northern Korea and the majority of these useless Muslim countries. This philosophy of one mind no brains is the reason they were alarmed at Mahama being endorsed with only 95% votes , why we have hegemony and tribalism in these Ewe and Northerners , why the divine will of God which enables the people to choose will be sabotaged by their rigging. They have alienated themselves from the true desires of the people what just want a normal govt which will look out for their well-being and interests , NDC is nothing but a blind, cold hearted wicked mafia Al Capone style criminal organization which will only succeed in causing misery and tragedy. We have succeeded this year on exposing them next year we shall knock them out and bury them forever. When they killed Atta Mills we promised them Ghana will never be the same and we would bring them down , now we promise them we shall start with the body punches , dismantle the effectiveness of their props the security agencies and prepare the people for war. Let them buy their guns and we will show them that cutlasses and stones are more effective as for every one defender we field they have to have 10 and behind every one another 5 to support their logistics because we defend our homes and they are an unwelcome occupational force. Notice how everyone is now fed up with this pepeni govt,anybody who gets close to them eventually gets infected or contaminated with their corrupt lying ,deceitful one mind no brains foolish stupidity. We see now where Kufuor got his idiotic ideas from of making all Akans subservient to Manhyia annoying mainly the Fanti speakers and Brong Ahafo which enabled NDc to easily exploit this and return them to power to oppress us again, a real jump from frying pan to fire. He was fraternizing with pepeni Mahama , it seems he is slowly coming to his senses as nothing can beat unity in respecting diversity.Anything NDC touches becomes distasteful and a shame,today we rank as one of the most corrupt countries in the world even beating Nigeria in this nefarious notoriety.Our landscape is now an eyesore with more mosques than even Saudi Arabia,rubbish and unnecessary miserable poverty everywhere,a govt full of Alajihs and Ewes the rest are glorified house boys with no sense of decency or justice.JJ led this Islamisation and allying us with useless Arabs instead of those we could better ourselves with. It was by his actions that sent a grey signal to stakeholders of this country and scared majority of businesses especially the multi nationals and some local entrepreneurs to withhold their vibrant activities due to widespread of war mongering and collateral damage meted out to life and properties (especially when one considers the serial market burnings) which was looming in the country all because Nana Addo and his men have lost an election and they are simply refusing to accept defeat; when it was very glare that they have lost.

His great grandfather (JB Danquah) did same to Nkrumah and his father ( Edward Akkufo Addo) followed the same traits, who was later imprisoned and now it is Nana Addo’s turn .

He is leading a campaign of indiscipline and has so far portrayed no decency in mannerism, character or in speech. His proverbial ill character in the use of vile words against his opponents is very abhorring and anti-social. His public speeches are out of date and have no connection with current trends of social developments. .

Unfortunately he is deep into it there is something wrong with the chemical constituents that form the brain of these Dankwas/ Busia’s? Are there no wise men among them? Or did their fathers die with all the sense that will guide them today? Well a decorated monkey remains a monkey; like father like son. None have morals…….KWASEA TO LIKE THAT !!!!

AMERI as a middleman for taking us to MEKTA is going to pocket $160 million. When are these NDC idiots going to learn? We did the same thing in Brazil during the world cup where we paid one guy more than $20,000 just to show us where to shop for groceries to prepare Ghanaian dishes.

You want to:

(a) Procure 10 gas turbines for 220 million dollars

(b) Build a power plant

(c) Produce power for Ghana for 5 years

Yet you are being ask to spend just the amount needed to the 10 gas turbines. I guess you are supposed to pay for the Construction and Power production with their flatulence!

On the contrary, he is very critical to the agreement between the Ghanaian government and Ameri Group.

According to the agreement, Ghana will lease the ten gas turbines for five years. After that, Ghana becomes owner of the turbines after paying an equipment cost of 510 million dollars.

That same equipment could have been purchased for 220 million dollars. The Ghanaian authorities would have saved 290 million dollars, said Amin Adam.

Why did the authorities decide to trust Ameri Group?

It makes no sense economically. We think someone is making money on of this deal, but we do not have any evidence yet, the head of the think tank said.

In addition to an equipment price of 510 million dollars, Ghana will pay variable costs of 16 million dollars annually, according to a report from the National Assembly of Ghana. Ghana will also need to pay for the gas to power the ten turbines.

According to the agreement the ten gas turbines are type TM2500+, often referred to as a power plant on wheels.

VG’s investigations show that the standard price for these turbines is about 20 million dollars. Last summer, GE sold eight identical turbines to Sonelgaz, the state energy company in Algeria, for 161 million dollars.

Professor Olav Bolland is one of Norway's foremost experts on gas power plants.

This is one of the world's most popular turbines, if not the most common, he said.

A simple internet search indicates that they sell for about 22 million dollars each. That seems to be a reasonable price if you ask me based on my previous experience pricing power plants.

He leads the Institute of Energy and Process Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

The agreement was sent to the National Assembly for approval after the government had signed the agreement with Ameri Group.

The minister's delegation reported to Ghanaian elected representatives that a direct purchase of the ten turbines would cost 411 million dollars. This amount is almost double the standard price for such turbines on the world market.

A crucial reason for choosing Ameri Group, was that the company could deliver the turbines quickly, while it would take nine months or a year for GE to manufacture ten turbines, the minister said.

But it was not until late October (eight months after the agreement was signed) that the turbines were unloaded at the Port of Accra.

From there they were transported to a power station in the west, where they are now being connected to the power grid and soon ready to produce electricity.

The minister of power have argued to VG that he did nothing wrong when he signed the agreement with the mysterious company:

I would not get involved in anything that is not good for Ghana, he said.

VG made a number of attempts to get Umar Farooq Zahoor, the prince and Ameri Group to explain why Ghana had to pay such an enormous price. Neither the prince nor the wanted Oslo man have responded to VG’s enquiries.

After sending an email to the address listed on the company’s website, someone named Kate spoke on behalf of Ameri Group saying:

Mr Umar stopped working for our company a few months ago to pursue bigger business opportunities.

The mysterious company does not want to answer VG’s question:

We are a privately held company in Dubai that does business all over the world, also in Ghana. We see no reason to answer any of your questions. We do not understand why a Norwegian newspaper would be interested in what we do, she writes.

Corruption is in the DNA of every Ghana, so Nipples won't be differen

To cure is corruption we must start from parliament enacting a law on how to deal with people who abuse Government funds or found to be corrupt and punish them irrespective of party affiliation.
This is the only way forward... Seizure of properties to the state and jail term like it is done in the US and UK.
Until our MPs come together and work on this to move Gh forward trust no Ghanaian or party to do anything different.
I want mahama to continue not bcos am NDC bcos am not, but he is the better option right now.
Take it or live it. ..... Neon would do even much better but.... again partisan politics won't help him.
We may have genuine true leaders, but lack true patroits to work for Ghana.....needless to say.

Inspite of the tremendous evidence of corruption, this stupid dude still thinks the deal is right. My suggestion is that all presidential candidates must promise to investigate and prosecute deliberate acts to defraud the nation (everyone who participated in the negotiation must never be left unscathed). It's about time to set example to deter such stupidity in the future.
