Readers would recall that Betty Mounds was the one who awarded SCHOOL building contracts at a triple price of the existing contract sum of some GH 80,000.00. And this happened at a time when they claim inflation was in the single digits. Could you imargin how foolish these criminal liars were. Kuffour built similar structures with 80,000 at a time when inflation was around 14.8% and under Mills it was 240,000 at a rate of 8.8%. And these buffoons turn around to blame the fall of the cedi on some mysterious dwarfs. I don't blame those African countries that have been ripped apart by civil unrest because if you have such buffoons in power who always turn our local elections into a West Africa one
by contracting Togolese Trokosis, Burkinabe and Wangaras from La Cote D'ivoire to vote for them, the " Road To Kigare", is sometimes, a likely option to kick their ass from power.

In February this year, the NDC Government entered into a Built, Operate, Own and Transfer agreement with Ameri Energy of Dubai for the supply of 10 turbines with 230-250MW capacity of power. The total cost of the deal to Ghanaian taxpayers for the five-year period will be US$593 million, comprising of the $510 million direct cost plus a “variable charge” of $83 million ($16.6 million x 5 years). This is 16.3 per cent of the total cost of the project. Normally, a variable charge never exceeds 2 per cent of the total cost of any contract of this nature. So what explains this astronomical mark up?

These 10 GE turbines, according to industry experts, go for a total basic cost of some $220 million. This, naturally, has raised questions over the justification for the additional whopping $360 million.

The investigations, done by the two foreign journalists, first of all, confirm several suspicions raised by local observers, surrounding this deal, as well as raise questions that have not, and will not be answered by the President’s agents merely issuing statements and press releases. It calls for an open, bipartisan full-scale enquiry into it.

Be careful when you lie that things arent already on paper. One thing they all had in common was that on the average the price per MW was around 1 million dollars so how do they justify this AMERI deal which turns out to almost 3 million dollars per MW?

The problem is that the NPP itself is not united, has a history of untold corrupt practices past and present which the NDC they accused of same gets nowhere near.

I wouldn't think Ghanaians would vote an ACID throwing NPP party with their current leadership deemed inept as it sounds right now.

And since the NPP is now classed as a Political party which does well in ethnocentrism, this is certainly not an all encompassing political party. It has gained it's mark as an Akyem or Asante party. This is where it stops.

Rem: Omane Boamah quoted a paragraph from Donkor Foreword's book to support his claim that Nana Addo, unlike Kuffuor, lacks leadership skills, little seeing that the case of Kuffuor/Donkor Fordwor was completely unlike that of Nana Addo/Afoko. Donkor Foreword is a sensible gentleman who had the good of NPP at heart, unlike Afoko, who is more of a thug who will indulge in senseless thuggery (see no of times he and his agents have been to court seeking to damage NPP, but failing) Donkor Fordwor on the other hand just let things be, because he had NPP's good at heart and wanted peace in the party.

What I want the NPP communication team to do is to respond in equal measure by substantiating with facts and figures and probably details of all the wanton expenditures and the obvious corrupt deals of the Mahama administration. I think Dr Boamah's attack if not refuted and neutralized will have a disparaging effect on the NPP and Nana Addo's bid. The reading public will then see between the lines which of the two parties is telling the truth and which of them is most corrupt.

Do Kufour and the NPP under Akuffo Addo leadership think Ghanaians are villagers whom they live with daily in the village and thus always swerve them with their so called buffon educated mentality and smartly turn around and talk over issues of corruption like they fought good against it when they were in power?

Any way tribal sentiments can let people vote wrong people into power especially in our African Ghanaian politics, if not what right in terms of perfection does Kufour have to talk about corruption against Mahama and his gov.

On record even if there had been corruption that prop up in Mahama's time, they always do their best to send any corrupt issues to the judiciary to take care of it since prosecution is done by that legal institution of the land. This is called good effort to fight the canker.

In which case of corruption did Kufour and Akufo Addo in their NPP administration send to the judiciary for prosecution that involved the NPP government officials in their eight years rule? Was it the case of Anane and others, you name them?

Anyway if the population is not smart and are political and tribal bigots, the question will be how could they catch the deceit of the people they follow. For certainty they will be led astray in decision making and that is what exactly goes on in our national politics which consequently yield the result of failure in all our national endeavours.
