Who doesn't know that junior officers have to take bribes from motorists and share with their bosses? This has been going on since the time of Nkrumah and it keeps getting worse. If the officers do not meet the demands of their soldiers, they will keep working in the villages and towns they don't want to work at. Why are some police officers always maintained at regional capitals,Airports, harbors, mining centers and banks while others remain at Alavanyo, Nkonya, Praprabaabi Da, Bayere bon and otwe bewe adua and never transferred? We all know the truth so there is no need for any senior police officer to deny that they force the junior ones to take bribe.

We see the reactions soaked with panic and hysteria of the NDC and their evil coalition of allies against the Akans as they notice we grow stronger every day and our numbers are clearly optimal. The results at Amenfi prove that 75% of the people have rejected this pepeni/ayigbe devilish mafia alliance . Very soon they will get a taste of their own medicine and see what its like to be discriminated against , be victims of hegemony and tribalism. Yes we shall turn the tables and they will find out what its like to have their sons of esteem victimized and persecuted for no other reason other than belonging to the wrong tribe . The will know what its like to have their businesses destroyed , market women robbed by the very same authorities of state who are supposed to protect them and their rights . He who feels it knows it ,we will let our ruffians and hooligans become soldiers and policemen who will then show them where the power lies. We will add insult to injury by letting our palm-wine tappers come out and talk shit everyday. Every one in a while we will target professions and areas where we believe they be concentrated and clean up on the corruption there . Yes these are the standards , virtues and morals they know. We will give free education to the Akans and make sure they suffer to pay school fees and health services . Waste will be left in great big mountains in their areas , and when their people begin to die from cholera and other diseases will will play dumb , blind and ignorant publicly while privately we laugh and say good riddance. We will raise one of their great hopes to the office of the president and murder him saying that he was sick so an investigation is not necessary. We will whip and lash their women public so their humiliated in front of their children and die premature deaths from heartbreaks . Yes our time is coming and they will now know the full wrath of the Akans . God can forgive we dont.

In terms of professionalism, I doff off my heart to the service. In fact if they want to work, they work very well. However when it comes to corruption too, they are number one. Every body knows that the police at the barriers and those who go on road checks extort money to share with the officers.
Mr. Cephas Arthur, we were not borne yesterday. Because the money extortion has the blessings of the senior officers, the extortion is done in the full glare of passengers. In fact, now it appears the police at the barriers and on road checks are no more interested in checking car documents but rather the money that the drivers give them.
Mr. Cephas Arthur, come again. Don't forget that you can NEVER suppress truth.
The police talk to their friends and passenger's also have eyes to observe what goes on between the police and the drivers and also the drivers also talk to the passengers.

IT IS TRUE THAT SENIOR OFFICERS DEFEND MONEY ANY TIME WE RETURN FROM ROAD DUTIES . SOMETIMES THE OFFICERS DETAILS THE ONE WHO SHOULD BE INCHARGE IN KEEPING THE MONEY.

Superintendent Cephas Arthur is rather the one who is not speaking the truth, I can say that I myself on 18 March 2015, at about 2310h on Accra Takoradi road between Cape Coast and Takoradi after Beposo when driving my own private Sprinter full of furniture that I have bought from Accra to send to my village for my newly build house, Policeman demanded Fifty Ghana Cedis (50.00) not for any offense just the fact that I was driving. I told him I am a soldier so could not give that money. He demanded to see my ID Card which I showed to him. This constable asked me to pack the car and come with him to tell the Chief Inspector who was then siting distance from where I had stopped and explained to him that I am a soldier. I was surprised that this inspector after showing my ID Card to him that I am a warrant officer in the Ghana Armed Forces still said "find something small for my boys" which I rejected with anger and left them. So I support what the junior ranks are saying. The senior ranks are behind whatever money they take from the drivers.

Assuming there are 15 such check points in a district, 15 districts in a region (15×15); 10 regions in Ghana (15×15×10). In 1995 when she told me, any police that went on motor check paid 3 cedis.
