They went with a Flag Staff House official to examine the fence.

The Nowergian contractor took out a tape measure and did some measuring,
then works some figures with a pencil. "Well", he says, "I figure the job
will run about $900. ($400 for materials, $400 for my team and $100 profit
for me)".

The Chinese contractor also did some measuring and figuring, then says, "I
can do this job for $700. ($300 for materials, $300 for my team and $100
profit for me)".

The Ghanaian contractor didn't measure or figure, but leans over to the
flag Staff House official and whispers, "$2,700."

The official says, incredulous, "You didn't even measure like the other
guys! How did you come up with such a high figure?"

The Ghanaian contractor whispers back, "$1000 for me, $1000 for you, and we
hire the guy from China to fix the fence."

When Ghana needed power, it only brought in 1 kW generators described by Wereko-Brobbey as toy machines. Government is tackling the power problem with all its might. With 24hr power outages life was unbearable during my last visit. Can you imagine the effect if power goes and only has to return one week later. Already businesses are winding up. No one should be listening to these nation wreckers walking around as a political party. The people of GH should know them by now. They didn't Akosombo and Tema motorway. Yes don't believe them
