In the final analysis, this addition to the recent deployment of the barges from Turkey will increase power generation, reduce the dumsor problem and add credit to Mahama and the NDC. These developments do not urger well for the image of the NPP.
Now everything must be done to discredit the deal as they did with the Turkey barges. The deal my friends went through Parliament. What was the NPP Parliamentarians doing when the deal was brought to Parliament? Where are their so all lawyers and the so called energy experts like KT Hammond? Were these people sleeping or under Antoa spells?
I heard an NPP Parliamentarian William Aiddo now giving such excuses that the deal was rush through?
Who is now competent? The NPP Parliamentarians who have refused to do their due diligence? or the NDC who are consistent in solving the energy problem?
The NPP is noted for finding fault with anything that has to do with moving Ghana forward and is not under their control.
Within the next few weeks the power problem will have some additional solutions added to it and this what must concern the ordinary Ghanaians. As for the NPP and their sleepy Parliamentaraians, the can follow the "ELEPHANT " wrado wrado wrado into the Atwima Forest Reserve.

Madame Ofosuaa.I can unstand your pains towards our political dispensation, but the whole facts in the story is that we're practicing what's called Polish detector democracy. even Luxembourg which is one of the smallest countries in Europe doesn't practices central government any more, central governments system always produced corruption especially when there're multi-tribes,why we afraid of Federal states constitution or government, they know for sure some tribes are likely to develope faster then some others and it's encourage good competition with fast developments. the most primitive aspects of it all is that when they steal the money they hardly use it to develope their home towns or regions they came from, but rather use the stolen money to buy houses in Europe, south Africa,Dubai and their own home towns, villages, regions would be the most deprived area.very poor.so woman the only way we can over come such baseless democracy systems we practicing is Federal states now.?

The 1992 Constitution was designed and promulgated to suit the whims and caprices of one person, and one person only, JJ Rawlings. He made sure that absolute power was vested in the Presidency without checks and balances.
Ghana's Parliament is a mere rubber stamp to all the chicanery of the Presidency - Parliament is toothless, it has no way of holding the (Executive) Presidency in check. By vesting all the power in the Presidency, the equally corrupt JJ Rawlings forgot that there will be super corrupt individuals to mount the Presidency when he is gone. Then JA Kufuor showed up and using the huge power vested in the Presidency, took the whole country to the cleaners.
Now we have an incompetent and equally corrupt Mahama using the unchecked power of the Presidency to engage in dubious transaction to fund NDC 2016 elections. This time it's not Wayome because Ghanaians have caught on with Wayomegate, rather it is through AMERI deal. Now the party has a cool $299 million to fight the 2016 election - go figure.
In case you do not understand my reference to the 1992 Constitution, JJ Rawlings designed our constitution to mirror that of the US without the checks and balances. When I say absolute power is vested in Ghana's Presidency, I mean the Presidency controls all executive appointments in government and the districts. It also has absolute control of the wallet, (our Treasury) in our case we call it Consolidated Account. The Consolidated Account is where we keep our money and it is in absolute control of the Presidency. In US for instance, the Presidency controls all executive appoints, and to keep the balance of power the US Senate has control of the wallet, i.e., the Treasury. This provides the needed checks and balances in the US system of government. The Senate can paralyze the Presidency by withholding funds if they suspect any shady dealings on the part of the Presidency.
In Ghana the Presidency controls executive appointments and criticizing the government or the Presidency is not what any smart politician likes to do. Because you shoot yourself in the foot when you criticize the Presidency. I am sure most elected representative knew the AMERI deal was bad, but they dare not criticize it because to that is tantamount to political suicide. So the Presidency controls appointments and the money and it do whatever it wants.
The solution to this is that we must repeal the 1992 Constitution and transfer or vest power in our elected representatives (Parliament); that is we must adopt the Westminister system - British system where power is vested with Parliament but not with corrupt individuals. Until we do that, I guess we as a people are doomed.

Politics in Ghana has sunken so low that people have become cynical on actions taken by the NDC government. The NPP in their thirst for power will do everything possible to undermine and derail the government to score political points. A large section of the population is even quick to accept dubious and false reports by the Norwegian paper over their own government's explanation over having performed due diligence prior to entering into business with Ameri Corporation. The MP is blaming the government for parliament's failure to exercise oversight responsibilities because it did not have enough time to go over the contract. As a deliberative law-making body, parliament has the power to stop the contract from proceeding if they found it to be dubious. Why didn't they?
