Visibility......? May they RIP...... Vehicles in wrong hands..... Simply putting on your lights in poor visibility scenarios would have avoided these deaths.

When asked to reduce speed, he justifies his action as needing to reach destination (Obuasi station) on time so that no one takes his 2nd place position.

Problem was the road was dirt! In USA a paved detour would be built even it would be dug up months later or new lanes are built beside the old..This road should have at least had gravel sprayed with tar!

I have been traveling on that road at least 4 times a year in the past 10 years by virtue of my work. You'll literally have to be searching for the road in the potholes. It's got to a point where even trenches on the roads are not even considered road hazard by the governments anymore. There are several signs on the road and bridges that read, "NO ROAD, NO VOTE". The signs have been ignored for several years and by several governments. You sometimes wonder how politicians get there to campaign for votes.

Its such a sad spectacle to see most of these so-called 'professional' drivers ignoring to put on their headlights even when visibility is so poor either due to darkness or dust as appears to have been the case in the Hohoe-Jasikan accident. Rather when they see you have your lights on they signal you to switch of because it may not be pitch dark. They don't understand that car headlights are not only meant to see with but also even more importantly to make it easier for one to be seen. Poor Ghana and avoidable deaths!

if was proven he passed on wrong side of road when he could not see.. A good lawyer in USA would sue MMt for $1 million dollars for each death because the law firm makes between 25-33% of the settlement is their pay!
