When Kwaku Baako informed us about the atrocities of Kwesi Pratt during PNDC Regime, some of us did not believe until the truth was confirmed during the NRC. Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. Now Pratt has the guts to take Diplomatic Passport and smuggled his weak-headed children to work at the Ministries under Mills NDC, may God forgive Pratt and his dependance and spare them of the evils ahead of them...

Corruption in public institutions by top civil servants is at an alarming proportion.Those cases involving GYEEDA,NSS and CHRAJ is just the tip of the iceberg.The Director General of Ghana Health Service Dr.Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira,sacked a doctor in less than 1 month of assuming post.Not even the courtesy of audience was accorded the young practitioner as the DG deliberated avoided him until he fired him through dubious and illegal means.What was the doctor's crime?It was because he was vocal and opposed illegalities and corruption in Effia Nkwanta hospital needlessly killing patients.This is a hospital in which a bribery scandal killed a patient by name Patience Sakpetey because she could not pay an illegal fee of 50 ghana cedis for blood transfusion.The unfortunate demise of the teenager was widely captured on both traditional and social media with the Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr.Paul K.Ntodi blaming it on the young doctor.Dr.Paul K.Ntodi then proceeded to summarily and wrongly expel the doctor at the level of the hospital.The young doctor took his case to CHRAJ,western region with hindsight of the MD conspiracy with the Regional Director of Health,Linda Vanotoo and duely won his case.The hospital management was compel by CHRAJ to reinstate the doctor.Dr.Ntodi was also force to produce a copy of mental report he kept away from the him after forcing him to go for psychiatry assessment a number of occasions in an attempt to destroy him in years of atrocities and torture on grounds of personal hatred.Dr.Ntodi subsequently vowed at a management meeting to have the young doctor sacked by the GHS if he does not leave the hospital and region.He added that he a 'westerner' referring to his native wassa tribe will not allow any dirty northerner to come and disturb him.Alas the doctor subsequently received a mysterious letter signed by the Chief Psychiatrist,GHS Akwasi Osei requesting he presents himself for further psychiatry assessment by a Medical Board.The doctor knew of the obvious intention of the hierarchy of GHS to victimize him in support of corrupt cronies in the region and actually had a tip off from a junior officer at headquarters never to present himself because there is a plot to victimized him with a mental illness and sack him.The doctor issued a written explanation complaining of persecution and why he can't honour the invitation copied to relevant persons including the DG and then Health Minister ,Alban Bagbin.The GHS amazingly sacked the doctor through an indefinite suspension without salary without any formal reply to his concerns with his letter copied to the Health Minister..The basis of his sacking was because he refused to have compulsory assessment and treatment for what the GHS termed 'possible delusional disorder'.How the GHS came to this baseless conclusion was strange since the doctor never presented himself to the Medical Board.The doctor have been fighting his case in the high court since december 2012.Every thing is being done to frustrate his case and deny him of justice because powerful figures with ties to government are involved.The AG department joined in the case are resorting to rough tactics to cover corrupt elements at GHS and avoid judgement debt instead of exposing them and instituting appropriate sanctions.The doctor who is currently jobless without salary have been victim of the corruption machinery in the GHS involving top men because of his anti-corruption stance.His first lawyer sums it all up by telling him authorities in GHS say he is 'loud mouth' after extorting huge sums from him and subsequently connived against him.The Government through the AG has callously and willfully suppressed this gross abuse,illegal and criminal act.Elsewhere Dr.Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira would have been given the sack in a matter of hours in this singular act of unprecedented corruption.It is the opposite in our country where corruption with impunity particularly by high profile persons is the order rather than the norm because the law is selective and bias in favour of the rich and powerful.The GHS currently under him is almost a private corporate entity with massive corruption,nepotism,cronyism,tribalism and political victimization the order.That is why in Effia Nkwanta hospital,in the western region natives mainly Akans led by the MD can cook a story of mental illness against other tribes(mainly northerners and ewes)often accused of being NDC sympathizers to be sacked or suspended by an Akan DG.These things started happening when Appiah Denkyira took over.It is strange that all the 3 people harassed and accused of mental illness in Effia Nkwanta hospital to be sanctioned by the DG without basis are non-akans with the accusers native and akans.You can't fight corruption when persons in position of responsibility are corrupt,divisive,petty,personal and lack integrity.

There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults.This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.

When the levels of our professionalism, integrity and morality decline in our society, corruption is what it breeds.

We should look within ourselves first and foremost as individuals, vet our day to day activities in all the simple things we do, like, renewing our licenses, seeking admission for our children, registering our properties, importing items into the country etc. These are the fundamentals that grow into what we see in public offices etc.

We have derived cute names for bribes and justify them with the end. Let's leave what we can't control and deal with ourselves.
