“Nobody is feeling your better Ghana”, Greenstreet shouted when he delivered his party’s solidarity message to the NDC at the congress at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Ashanti regional Captial, Kumasi – stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

In the full glare of the President, Vice President, former President Jerry Rawlings, and thousands of leaders and supporters of the NDC, a defiant Greenstreet said: “…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”

“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”

He added: “We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”

“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”

“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”

I can't understand any serious government who is putting down good policies running after opposition and hiding behind the screens to watch what they are doing, if anything at all somebody from the guest could give out that £5,000 so what is suspended Namoale Amasa BBCNEWS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! talking about? The whole hall was filled and more over they paid for the dinner dance and I don't get why ndc are so desperate for power they don't deserve, they are all bunch of fools and idiots who are making our country a laughing stock. Organise that type of dinner dance in the UK or any part of the world and see how many people will come, nobody likes you and no sensible and decent person want to associate with you. Friends of John Mahama in the usa have only 8 members and is that business of the npp ? Hell No!! Donations for Political Campaigns must be made transparent and publicized, if they are to be exempted for Taxes.

That is to avoid any Political leader being unduly influenced by dubious folks who would later on turn around to demand illegal favors of the Political leader recipient of such donations. We would not like our Politics continue to be controlled by a few rich individual or Companies, especially, foreign entities.

As much as Akufo-Addo has been traveling to organize such Fundraising events all over Europe and the USA, there is every likelihood that he would be a pawn of some foreign entities whose interests run diametrically opposite to Ghana's.

Already, the Opposition leader's shadow-Presidential (or, should I say: "pseudo-Presidential") meetings in Europe with certain Parliamentarians of some European Countries cast a long shadow of suspicion as to what deals he might have hinted their Nations that he would offer them, should he become the President of Ghana.

It is reasonable to suspect that it is because of the intent of the Akufo-Addo Faction of the NPP to keep all such donations tightly secret, even from NPP Officials with lesser connections to the Party Flagbearer, that Abankwa Yeboah and Freddie Blay opened a secret second Account to service Akofo-Addo's specially.

We must fairly concede that every Politician could solicit for donations to help his/her cause. But there are illegitimate use of such Funds collected purposefully to fund a Political Campaign, and we should not sheepishly overlook that.

Mr. Osei Yaw should therefore be reminded that keeping any donations to the Akufo-Addo Campaign secret implies the expenditure of such Funds would also be secret, and thereby offers legal reasons for Law Enforcement to intrude to verify how the Funds are spent. Any stonewalling of such verifications would be illegal.

In fact, the same warning ought to go to all our Politicians, be they in NDC or CPP or PPP or whatever.
