“…Currently nobody, I mean nobody is feeling your better Ghana.”
“Continuous ‘dumsor dumsor,’ corruption from top to bottom, left right inside out, and all the challenges you are facing [are] suffocating the Ghanaian people.”
“We would have thought that perhaps you may have used an occasion like this to discuss policies, programmes and solutions to all the difficulties we are facing as a nation, but no, you chose today to share your Christmas gifts with each other.”
“Ghanaians are not happy at all. This ‘bronya’ is dry. Too too dry,” he told the President, adding: “The most painful thing of all is that you don’t care.”
“NDC continue, we are watching you, Ghana is watching you, do what you want to do, we also know what we’ll come and do…make sure you’ll elect executives who will be able to steer your parties affairs when you are in opposition. Boys abr3.”

GHANA'S MEDIA, CORRUPT & STUPID!! LOOK AT THE WAY MAHAMA WAS INTERVIEWED IN GERMANY. THE QUESTIONS WERE UP TO THE POINT AND IT FOUND MAHAMA SHAKING AND SWEATING. IT WAS PURELY ON THE ECONOMY AND THE MAN POINTED OUT TO HIM THE FEELING OF HELPLESSNESS, HOPELESSNESS AND DESPONDENCY ON THE PART OF GHANAINS UNDER HIS INEPT & CORRUPT NDC GOVERNMENT. THE JOURNALIST WAS A WHITEMAN!!! HE DOES NOT LIVE IN GHANA!!! BUT COME TO GHANA, WE HAVE OVER 80 MINISTERS REPRESENTING VARIOUS SECTORS OF THE ECONOMY. THIS SO CALLED RADIO PRESENTERS AND JOURNALISTS ARE UNABLE TO CALL THEM AND ASK THEM RELEVANT QUESTIONS AS TO HOW THE COUNTRY IS MOVING FORWARD OR BEING DESTROYED, THEY PREFER TO CALL ASIEDU NKETIA, KOKU ANYIDOHO, ANITA DE SOSO, AKUA DONKOR OR KOFI ADAMS ( JUST FOR "noko fioo") TO ASK THEM WHOM THEY HAVE MANAGED TO INSULT IN THE NPP. LOOK!!! 4 YEARS OF DUMSOR, THE CEDI HAS TAKEN A NOSE-DIVE, NDC STEALING OUR MONIES, MASS UNEMPLOYMENT, UNPAID WAGES AND SALARIES: --- BUSINESSES, NHIS, MASS COCOA SPRAYING, SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM ETC. ETC. ALL COLLAPSED AND OUR SO CALLED JOURNALISTS JUST DISGRACING THEMSELVES. WHAT A COUNTRY????????

I know the weather can be unpredictable sometimes but could this not have been predicted my the Meteorological Service so that the VP could have been warned in advance to make alternative travel arrangement? There is lack of forward planning in Ghana. This is a very important day in Ghana and as a result some advance planing including Plan B should have been in operation. The excuse is not good enough.

School of Information and Communication at the University of Ghana is not the same as Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ). I do not agree with her assertion but I certainly have no problems with the content of her lectures.

A man met a beautiful and nice lady and he decided he wanted to marry her right away. She said, "But we don't know anything about each other." He said, "That's all right, we'll learn about each other as we go along." So she consented, and they were married, and went on a honeymoon to a very nice resort. So one morning they were lying by the pool, when he got up off of his towel, climbed up to the 10 Meter board and did a two and a half-tuck gainer, this was followed by a three rotations in jackknife position, where he straightened out and cut the water like a knife. After a few more demonstrations, he came back and lay down on the towel. She said, "That was incredible!" He said, "I used to be an Olympic diving champion. You see, I told you we'd learn more about each other as we went along." So she got up, jumped in the pool, and started doing laps. After about thirty laps she climbed back out and lay down on her towel hardly out of breath. He said, "That was incredible! Were you an Olympic endurance swimmer?" "No," she said. "I was a hooker in Venice, Italy and I worked both sides of the Grand Canal."

Audrey's comments are disappointing in the sense that although she condemns soli she seems to be soft pedaling. The same can be said of the policeman, the judge, the headteacher, the registrar etc. The problem in Ghana is no one is ever satisfied with their remuneration. Medical doctors believe they must be the highest paid in the country and so they will kill to achieve their goal. They collect money not due them by short changing the country.

Ghanaian journalists are poorly paid but are they the only ones?
Even our medical staff, teachers, bread winners of the country like farmers, fishermen and many more others in various fields, none is taken care of properly so there's no justification for them (journalists) to take or accept kick backs from corrupt, heartless, wicked politicians to influence or dictate how to carry out their duties.
In Ghana everybody except the politicians,is feeling the pinch so the Ghanaian media must refrain from their unfair reporting and think of doing what's right in the interest and benefit of the country.

If what Audrey Gadzekpo has written about journalist resorting to taking soli from people they cover, then the state of journalism in the country has gone to the dogs. Low pay not notwithstanding, any journalist who accept this sort of bribe has compromised his integrity, objectivity and credibility. Soli, like any form of bribery, has now been institutionalized.
