This rather unorthodox style by the incumbent MP shows the level of desperation and perspiration with the little democratic reforms in the NDC.Stakeholders and the good citizenry of Ghana should apt the tempo in the battle for true democratic, free and fair elections. That is the only way we can be guaranteed issue based politics and much desired socioeconomic development. The cruel and heartless strategy of 'politricks' in which politicians use cash and goodies to influence ignorant and uninformed minds to win elections should be discouraged. This dubious strategy favours incompetent and irresponsible politicians, MPs inclusive because we still have majority of electorates being stark illiterates or semi-literates.Northern Ghana largely deprived, marginalized and neglected odd to have a generation of young intellectuals and educated minds to push forward issue based and development oriented politics through rigorous advocacy targeting rogue politicians ,including MPs who use political power to illegally amass wealth and power for themselves instead of serving the interest of the citizenry.Unfortunately for the north ,most of the educated youth including intellectuals have been infected with the corrupt political virus stooping lowly and cheaply as sycophants, bootlickers, opportunists, informants and militants in the interest of politicians for favours, including cash, goodies and jobs.Despite these theatricals the Minister of Roads and Highways to be hornest does not belong to the category of politicians who believe in cash/goodies in exchange for votes. He is one of the few northern MPs who ironically is development oriented per the facts on the ground instead of the usual strategy of suddenly popping from nowhere to deceive, buy votes and rig elections. The north should begin to hold errand, corrupt and irresponsible politicians particularly MPs accountable by resisting and rejecting bribes in total.Discerning minds should wage a serious war against political maneuvering and monopoly through vote buying and vote rigging by getting our illiterate and ignorant folks understand their political rights and obligations through mass education and advocacy using both social and traditional media.Nevertheless, this responsibility is onus and daunting until educated youth in the north show integrity and responsibility by not playing to the whims and caprices of corrupt politicians parading as so-called political godfathers.

If the minister is serious in helping, he should continue teaching the children after he has won the primaries. Otherwise, the minister is making mockery of himself and democracy.
