Mr. Gerald Ankrah, Managing Director of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has called on the supporters of the club to reflect on the successes chalked in the past and look into the future with higher hopes.

Speaking at a press conference in Accra on Wednesday, to mark the 104th birthday celebrations of the club, Mr Ankrah said the club in the past has been crowned as Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Champion League winners, as well as the Super Cup and other domestic glories adding that these achievements far outweigh the challenges currently confronted by the club.

"Fortunately for us our glory days outshine our gloomy ones and the prospects of attaining higher marks are on the positive side.

"There are more accolades in the pipeline and would soon become a reality sooner than later.

"We must rededicate ourselves to the next few years ahead knowing the past few seasons have not been good as a club due to a number of factors, some unforeseen circumstances and others due to our own causal failures." Mr Ankrah stated.

He said " we accept the fact that there have been setbacks to our plans and as rational beings these should galvanise to take bold, innovative and viable decisions to position us the best club in the country".

Mr Ankrah said, supporters of the club must must work hard and remain united in the face of challenges in a bid to reach their desired destination.

According to Mr Ankrah, the Board and Management have taken a bold step to reshape the technical direction of the club adding that reports from the training grounds indicates that, the players are responding positively to the training regimen of the newly appointed coach.

He added that "we are doing everything possible to get new players on board as requested by the head coach and we entreat all phobians to have the needed patience as we go through the process".
