It's important we put issues in the right perspectives. If govt was to provide her with accommodation as part of her conditions of service why blame her? The ministry of finance was paying her hotel bills and perhaps taking their 10% cut. She is just a victim of govt inefficiency while the real crooks are left off the hook.

You are right, dismissing this lady from her post after breaking or failing to comply with some rules amount to prosecution. Likewise those who enable without crossing checking how this amount was being spend on hotel bill alone. These sort punishments are only reserved for the “touchable” those who not have people who knows people in the high authority. Let one of these “touchable” take a penny and their a** will be drag to the nearest police station or the courthouse to answer question. However, the “untouchable” will drain the country to the empty, migrate to other part of the world spend it and come back later to advise us on to work hard to enhance the country.

How can he just fire that sikadicious cocksucker and not make any attempt to recover some money for the state? Her law degree is still intact and she can just go into private practice. Even worse she can warm her way into some executive NDC party post just like anobooth Ugly Betty Mould-Iddrisu and hope that buys her some insurance. Screw her, drag her to court now.

You cannot convict this woman on any charge in our law. Yes, she was arrogant and lead a lifestyle reserved for profitable companies top executives. She took advantage of a weak system, supervised by corrupt and inefficient government officials.. Did she steal from the nation's purse? I do not think she did. A public reprimand and a bar from appointment to any government office are all we can as a nation successfully obtain.

If Government normally issues deterrant against people who have abused their offices by charging them of the offence
before competent courts and punished according to law,it would instil fear and accountability into persons who take responsible possitions thereafter,to be mindful of the manner in which they would handle the finanacies of the offices concerned, but if they are dismissed ouright and left off the hook, others would take solace of it and couragiously enough to do more to deplete the coffers of the institution to a complete desaster.Sacking alone is not enough as a deterrant.

The CHRAJ chairperson took the money and paid it to the hotel were she was residing and I am of the view that there are receipts issued. If the receipts issued are less than the amount which was paid it means that she stole part of the money.
She will be accused of causing financial lost to the state. But we shall be quick to ask is the provision of accommodation part of her conditions of service. If yes, then has the state provided her with the accommodation?

It's selective justice in Ghana as usual! Some were jailed for causing financial loss to the state, some are sacked and let go free for causing may be financial "gain" to the state.

I wonder the sort laws we are practicing in Ghana . What that woman did was either criminal or corruption . Why was the President or Chief Justice waiting for someone to tell them to prosecute?
