I know I'm incurring the wrath of those who worship and adore do nothing leaders but I'm not going to back down but will instead double down on the leadership vacuum or paralysis in the nation. How many of President Mahama's close aides and administrators have ever been interdicted let alone prosecuted for corruption allegations? Zero! At worst there's always a reshuffling of ministerial appointees and the bad nuts are sent to the presidency as presidential staffers. That's a clear message to every Ghanaian that so long as you maintain powerful friends you can get away with every crime and your job is secured for life. We either have a very weak president who condones the evil acts of his surrogates and close aids, a clueless president who has no idea what's going on or a president who's too corrupt to tackle corruption heads on. Whichever way you look at it It's a clear leadership problem.

Those doctors involved in this scandal should be reported to the Ghana Medical and Dental Council for disciplinary action to be taken against them. That is the only way such professionals can be made to sit up.

The worst thing that the PIPS investigation can do is to lead to the dismissal of such a doctor from the Police Hospital but he will easily pick up his stethoscope and head for the next hospital to continue messing people up.

However, if he or she is suspended from practice by the Ghana Medical and Dental Council, it will mean that such a doctor cannot practice medicine at all. That will serve as a deterrent to others not to use their positions as elite medical officers to mess anyone up.

Do Ghanaians know how many investigation Ghana Police has embarked with no conclusion? Ghana Police is completely useless when it comes to doing investigation on purported crimes committed by others. The Police is ill-equip to initiate, investigate and conclude investigation successfully.

Apart from competence issue, they lack the logistics, technical know-hows and most importantly discipline and commitment needed to see through a sweeping investigation.

Like all of Police investigation this one too, will be an exercise of futility.
