Stop the lies and let the people know war is inevitable as that is the only way to secure true freedom for the Akan nations. If we accept this fact then we also must know our sacrifice of a few million lives will ensure the total annihilation of all enemies of the Akan nation. People now know that the so called coup of Rawlings was nothing but as in all things a Ayigbe tribal war against the Akans camouflaged by the bullshit of a revolution against corruption. It is now clear why the intelligentsia of the Akans especially the Fantis was under the cover of darkness , false accusations and unfair prosecutions driven out of the country or killed or tortured so much so that they empty shells with broken spirits. Koku Anyidoho and his NDC party has never accepted that there was any mistake in the voters' register. In fact, they said it was clean, credible and ready for use in the 2016 elections. Now, and after the stakeholders overwhelming agreement that there were flaws in register, and the proofs presented by the NPP that the register was bloated and tainted with all kinds flaws, they can no longer cling to those malicious denials. Instead, they are now calling for cosmetic changes to be made to the voters' register that would still allow them to rig the elections without tears.

Adam, most on the side of the opposition parties are clamouring for a new voters register but one thing they must consider is that given the location of the country with borders difficult to guard and the absence of the necessary infracture in monitoring growth, movement of people, etc it will be difficult for the Electoral Commission or anybody else to produce a credible voters register. And I dare any of those advocating for a new voters to prove to me that there has ever been a credible voters register in Ghana. Now, one has to think about cost of organising registration for a new voters register at this limited time before the next elections in 2016, the number of ghost names that will appear in the voters register since I dont trust any of the political parties - the temptations is certainly there!!! I pray Ghanaians see reason and trust the EC and leave it to do its work without interference.

The Chair of the EC in making the presentation of the EC commissioners particularly with respect to stability and it's social cost on opening registrations in the 30,000 polling stations, as a recipe for chaos, one can safely state that assertion is neither here nor there, indeed, it is completely unmeritorious, based on the fact that, the register as we have it, is roundly acknowledged as flawed.
This becomes the case, when the EC takes the considered opinion, in order to prevent ineligible voters from getting onto the voters register, the EC basically expects political parties, their polling agents and the community at large to essentially, make sure such ineligible voters do not get on the voters register, because should they get on the register, as far as the EC is concerned, those voters are deemed to have been properly registered and do qualify to vote, and the EC is powerless to remove such ineligible registrants from the voter roll.
Based on this, an attempt to rationalize and reconcile these two positions clearly does not make any sense, because the EC cannot on the one hand say, the community and the political parties should ensure ineligible voters do not get on the voter roll at the polling stations, and at the same time, seek to tie the hands of the community and the political parties by suggesting there would be chaos, so based on that construct, the clear need for a credible and clean new register is without locus.
There is a huge difficulty with that kind of position because if the EC is at pains to do its job and ensure as per the constitutional mandate, it captures Ghanaians of 18years of age and of sound mind who are eligible to vote, then how can it say political parties and the community, who the EC has devolved this responsibility to, would be creating conflict zones and chaos, when they exercise this responsibility, and consequently because of that, Ghana should not get a new register, when the whole world recognizes the fact that the Ghana's current national voters register is compromised and must be changed?
It's hard to make any meaning and sense of such a position and is completely illogical.
The crux of the matter is, Ghana's national voters register is not credible as has been demonstrated and it must and should be changed. It needs to be fixed by compiling a new, credible voters register to ensure credible and fair elections.

I am surprised when some people say there two registers, one for presidential and another for parliamentary. During last elections a voter went through verification with the biometric register only once before one proceeded to collect the presidential ballot to vote and then immediately move on to collect the parliamentary ballot to vote. I am at a loss how people tried to twist this process to create the impression that the EC used two registers and not one. We should be careful not to create confusion deliberately to destroy this dear country of ours.
