After open support for new voter.'s role by the Christian council of Ghana, the 2 former presidents and following the noise made by 2 leagues of NPP allies - LMVCA and AFAG, look at the turn of events at the open forum. How many political parties and think tanks NGOs supported the new role? The 5 member committe forming the commission may have their way but it's clearly majority donot support a new voter'a role though, admit that there is a problem, there is no perfection but there are other ways of making better, not entirely a new voter's register.

The meeting and presentations at the Alisa Hotel was not for empty headed individuals like most of the NPP supporters.You go to the Alisa hotel, speak and back up with evidence. The NPP had none and therefore messed up at the forum. The NPP wasted our 8 months at the Supreme Court and has wasted another at the Alisa Hotel. Until the NPP is removed completely from the electoral system or until Akufo Addo is arraigned before the International Criminal Court (ICC), Ghana will never be free.

It is now abundantly clear that the five-member committee set up by the NDC/EC league to receive proposals from stakeholders, study and present its recommendation to the EC for cleaning or changing the voters' register was just another hoax.

The committee was a facade because the lady in bed with Mahama has already used the forum yesterday to tell Ghanaians what she would do to rig the election for NDC without waiting for any recommendation from the committee. The lady did not only borrow the twisted logic and flawed argument of the NDC to keep the tainted and bloated voters' register, she also borrowed the very words General Mosquito has been using all along to ensure that the electoral thievery remains intact for them to steal the verdict of Ghanaians visibly yearning for a change.

I think the lady is abusing the phrase "independent EC", which means being free from the influence of those in power to mean the ability to behave dictatorially and help its favorite party steal verdicts fraudulently without any fear. I don't think the word independent in this case means immune from prosecution and removal from office. After all, there are channels and procedures used for the prosecution and removal of presidents, judiciary and parliamentarians from office if they commit crimes against Ghana and its people. Is our independent EC above the law?

Ben Ephson is so slavishly and sycophantically pro-NDC that no independent-minded objective observer would consider his opinions as serious. That alone disqualifies his views from being consistently thrown at us the discerning public
and Ghanaweb should take note of this.

That Ghanaweb continues to prominently and frequently air Ben Ephson's views to the disadvantage of others, raises many questions as to the inclinations and intention of Ghanaweb itself.

1. If you have a house which leaks do you have to abandon it and go for a new house? If there is a problem with your car and identify the problem do you abandon the or take it to the mechanic to take the affected part of fix the problem and abadon the old car for a new car. If some group have foind the problem why not come out with systematic solutions rather demanding a new one all to gether? Is that group going to use mechanism to help prepare a new one? Then why not use the same mechanism to fix the old one. The the old one is said to have problems but the way forward to not repeat the same old problem has not been defined and any panacea given. This is absolutely a means to gey yo a beginning of selfish interest. There something to the call for this compilation of the new voters register. As some people have found the problem they should bring to the table how to avoid the same mistake before calling for newer register. NPP full of crock politicians. They always want everyone to toe their line. They ate good at manufacturing numbers as did when they initiated court action in 2012 by first saying EC had rigged the election in favour for Mahama by way of manipulation by latet in court was fighting on pink sheets. You and I were not there. Hmmmmm NPP the most wise, intelligent and smart politicians in the whole wide world. Here in America we can't even boost of perfect voting register. Charlotte Osei should not be throwing the "go to court, go to court" statement about because, with this bloated register, we might not even get the chance to go to court this time around when used for the 2016 elections.
As the PPP General Secretary said at the debate, Ghana has managed to maintain peace because, those who have been cheated with the help of the EC and the bloated register, have chosen to keep quiet about the rot to maintain the semblance of peace in this country. It might not be guaranteed in 2016.
There is no way the present register can be cleansed.
A new register must be compiled, and it is exceptionally disgusting, the EC and the NDC acknowledge the register is compromised so bloated to make nonsense of the function of the EC as a commission, and the solution being advanced, is to clean it.
Who says cleaning it will be to any stakeholder's satisfaction?
If it was possible to clean it, why is it that the register is still not credible in paraphrasing the question asked by the representative from the churches during the debate?
Ben Ephson's point is completely moot because, a bloated registered can never be cleaned to anybody's satisfaction and that is why over the course of the 4th Republic, a fresh register is compiled each time to deal with the problem. As the EC Chair rightfully said, nobody complained about multiple registrations this time around, because it seems a solution to that particular problem had been found. It didn't take cleaning of the register to prevent that multiple registration problem, and likewise it would not take cleaning the current register to deal with the problem of minors and foreigners on the current register.
A new credible register must therefore be compiled to address the problem.

The Akufo-Addo camp within the NPP is an unruly and fysfunction bunch whose intention for calling for a new voters' register is the bog down the EC if it decides to go with the call for a new register. Knowing that it will take time to come up with a fresh register, the Akufo-Addo camp then will ask that the elections be postponed to allow time for the compilation of a new register. The EC should not allow itself to be intimidated by these ALL-DIE-BE-DIE noise-makers. If the NPP has credible evidence to offer, let it do so publicly, and the EC then should act in their favor. Until then, the EC should not be pushed to cleanse its register with ALL-LIE-BE-LIE.

My name is John Agbo and I am a Ghanaian. My surname can be found in Togo, Benin and Nigeria too. Go to Skype "search" column and type my name, "John Agbo", as if searching for contacts. You will see countless number of John Agbo in Ghana, Togo, Benin, and Nigeria. Does this mean that the numerous John Agbo's that came up is one person?

NPP must wake up and do some more research before coming up with these baseless allegations about foreigner's names on the EC register.
