Really do we need a new register. Can anyone guarantee the new one will not be worse that this since everyone need to make sure they win the 2016 elections? Ghana first

The register needs to be thrown out completely for a new register, thrown out immediately.

So on election day, the system is not able to verify voters and Mahama will issue an order than anybody and everybody who comes to the polling station with a voter ID card should be allowed to vote without verification and after this nonsense they claim, the elections is credible.
There is no seriousness in this country, none.
What happens after this, is the data is manually collected and sent to the EC offices and that is when the real dangerous bloating occurs. And that is how those who were captured with stapled pictures got on the register. The register is so messed up, even the caveman will reject.

I feel so disappointed looking at the process of the registration. So basic to manipulate by any basic IT criminal.
Foreigners can register in their numbers.
Minors as well given that source information is already flawed.

The whole change will take time. At this point, i dont fault the EC though I dont like this current corrupt regime and the incompetence of the EC staff, I think until we get natioal ID system like the swedish ID cards, Ghana should forget about credible register and free fair elections for now.
I have lived in most advanced countries including US but the swedish system of Identification is the best Ghana needs before we can proceed to creation of any credible voters register.
God bless Ghana.

I have closely followed the proceedings at the forum and can bodly conclude that the ec is predetermined to appease her paymasters which is the ndc. I could even determine that from her body language right from the onset, because of her immaturity and it a big shame to Ghana's democracy. The bone of the contention is simple; all stakeholders including the npp and the ndc admitted that the electoral registrar was bloated. However the disagreement lies in the method of rectifying the problem. Meanwhile all these outdated existing mechanizms suggested by the ndc were there before the registrar got bloated. Shame unto the ec and ndc!!! Look at how asiedu nketia exhibited shallow mindedness yesterday, yet koku anyinadaho had the gut to brag because of the preditermination of the matter. Tweaaa kangoroo forum!!!

Look, their is something called zoom lens. If you don't understand, there are places to go copy/learn ...go look at how it is done in the US congress, UK commons/lords, in south Africa, Brazil, Germany, India and else where...
2. NPP has been exposed! To me, and only me (I suppose I have that prerogative/right...). The NPP petition is BOGUS. You simply cant throw the baby away with the sink/bath tub. They did not make sense in terms of logic. They lacked critical thinking...
3. If a Chairman has been appointed to chair this meeting/forum, why all these unnecessary "hanger-ons" ...moderators, microphone height adjusters, "classifiers" of questions; press/camera men all over the place etc...
3. The Electoral Commissioner sounded credible and in control, very heart warming.
