Congratulations to the people of Ivory Coast for electing a visionary, competent and focused President in the person of President Alassane Quattara, who has taken the very intelligent and visionary steps based on competence to advance the socio-economic growth and development objectives of the people of La Cote D'Ivoire after going through a recent national upheaval that rocked the country, as a result of a very unpopular President who wanted to remain in power at all cost, even when the signs were clear, his gov't had failed, and have bounced back under the steady hands of President Quattara, the Elder Statesman, with a keen sense and understanding of where the country La Cote D'Ivoire needs to be, in the comity of nations-a prosperous, economically stable and viable country, which lifts it's people up from a shackles of poverty, institutionalized and officially sanctioned policy of crass looting and thievery, underdevelopment and hopelessness.
Nigerians earlier in the year also made a commitment to break away from this canker of institutionalized looting and thievery which had banished the good people of Nigeria to a state of hopelessness and poverty in the midst of plenty, by taking a very profound and far-reaching step in voting for a Change in the status quo of mindless incompetence and rottenness in Africa's most populous country.
The dividends of this change in Nigeria has already begun to bear fruits.
Just as Ghana congratulates the people of La Cote D'Ivoire and Nigeria, the future of Ghana also beckons, to make one clean break from the culture of institutionalized thievery and looting, incompetence and mediocrity, cluelessness and a profound lack of vision that has wrecked untold and unmatched havoc on the socio-economic development objectives of this country.
The difference is altogether clear as to the direction Ghana needs to make, if Ghana is to break away from this miasma of poverty, retrogression, thievery and corruption, stagnation and underdevelopment in this country. Change must come in 2016.
