I am very happy and proud to read that Ghana President, Mr. John Mahama was among the invited guest to celebrate 96th birthday of Dr. Evans Anform who happened to be a vice chancellor of my former university (UST). Even though I entered UST in 1975 when Prof Bamfo Kwakye was the vice-chancellor, I was delighted to See Prof Evans Anform on the Ghanaweb. Folks, we need to see more of these gallant men of academics on the Ghanaweb. When I was growing up in Ghana people of such magnitude were predominant on the news compared to these days where you read about mostly, are rappers, women with pads to bloat their buttocks , corrupt poiliticians and other disheartening news about people who do not deserve to be presented.What happened to days of the sixties and seventies. People like ex-President's Rawlings daughter, Dr Zenator is an example we need to see on the web instead of those low life individuals featured. It is time to return to the return to the days of academia. I am really delighted to day to see my former vice-chancellor and his two boys who happened to be in the same hall( Independence Hall)with me. USA is my permanent home but I get very happy and fe3el very proud of Ghana when I see gallant people like Prof Evans-Anform on the face of Ghana. Happy birthday Prof.
