Is this the norm in Ghana - to astronomically increase one's rent by over 400%. And by what justification did the judge reduce the rent from 650 to 500. Even at 500, it's still an increase of over 300%.

This smacks of corruption so rampant in the system. Government should not be renting from individuals to run local assembly affairs.
Hopefully such increases are not prevalent and accorded individual tenants for rent spaces - be it sleeping quarters or business spaces.

Assembly assets should not be auctioned due to some one negligence. Whoever caused it should face the law squarely.
