In the case of the NPP, Afoko's treachery has only served to divide the measly ranks of the NPP which in any case - whether it wins power or not in 2016, will not take this country any further than where the notorious NDC has dumped us.

In Kwame Nkrumahs case, which is a repugnant case of the worse kind of treason, the antecedents of the NPP actually resorted to commit treason by actively taking a leading role in the overthrow of the national constitution and deposing the then head of state and proceeding to destroy, at the behest of their imperialist masters, the entire fast-track socio-economic developmental infrastructure which had been laid by Kwame Nkrumah.

By succeeding in doing so, they (the antecedents of the NPP) put on hold till now, the globally commended efforts that Kwame Nkrumah had achieved in palpably raising the image of Ghana, Africa and the entire Black African race of people to its highest point ever in the history of mankind.

So thumbs up for Paul Afoko. Teach the swine and scum what treason and treachery tastes like. As the popular saying goes, give them a taste of their own medicine.

Hehehehe, as soon as I saw "rise" in Nana Akufo-Addo's tour theme, I knew it was going to be followed by a "fall". The other day, a friend of mine was referring to Nana's "Rise and Build" tour as R&B (Rice and Beans) tour. I love the malapropism here, and this reminds me of the late Ghanaian actress, Araba Stamp who was popular for his malapropism, "fried rice and kitchen."

Please wait a minute: Agyeeeeei, I saw some interesting scriptures today. Proverbs 20:30 "Blows and wounds scrub away evil, and beatings purge the inmost being." Proverbs 18:6 "The lips of fools bring them strife, and their mouths invite a beating."

And it happened that Nana's Rice and Bea... eiii, sorry, Rise and Build tour has ended up in a Rise and Fall tour. Why am I saying this? The NPP's woes have deepened after his tour. Chairman Paul Afoko has been suspended indefinitely by the National Executive Committee of the party. There was a display of all-die-be-die antics during the meeting, and the party’s private security, the Invisible Forces burnt a motorbike and destroyed the windscreen of a taxi cab.

Many party activists are angry as a result. An NPP "militant" group Bolgatanga Bull Dogs (BBD) in a press release has threatened to scuttle the electoral fortunes of the NPP in 2016 because of the suspension of their National Chairman.

What even makes the issue more serious is that some party Stalwarts have started baring their teeth, and Andrew Awuni, a former Press Secretary to former President Kufour is one of them. He spoke on Neat FM some hours after the suspension. Hear him:

"Between the last two elections, an amount of over 100 million dollars has been disbursed into the party's coffers.Where did all this money go? Adakabre, what is going on is all about the control of the party's finances and useless worshipping of a human being. Recently, 3 million Ghana Cedis was released to the party. Kwabena gave each constituency an amount of GHC10,000. This flared up emotions because the money was not released to the executives to spend lavishly. Subsequently another 45 million Ghana Cedis was released which landed on the laps of Abankwa, then the battle began. So aren't they seeing what Mahama is doing? Making the NDC so attractive today!" Tankweeew, Mr. Awuni, I'm glad you have also seen the magic of the young man from Bole.

That notwithstanding, the near octogenarian flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo-Addo seems to be saying Tweeaa to those livid activists by endorsing the suspension. He confirmed in a statement: "I have been apprised of the decision taken by the National Council of our great party to suspend Mr. Paul Afoko.

Having satisfied myself that due process was rigorously followed in arriving at this decision, I welcome and fully endorse it."

But more worrying is the beleaguered chairman's statement that he is still at post.

In a show of defiance, Mr. Paul Afoko, in a press statement said that his purported suspension is unconstitutional, and therefore, the decision taken by the NEC is null and void; so, he is still the National Chairman. The question many are asking is that can Afoko do foko? My answer is that time will tell. Let the music in the camp of the Elephant Family keep playing on. Kikikikikiki, enjoy Lionel Richie's "All night long."

“Afoko, Alan Declare War on Nana Addo

Comrades, this is highly classified information I’ve picked from our friends in the NPP. This week is going to be very nasty in that party and we need to ready ourselves to support our friends do enough damage to that Akufo-Addo.

The Alan / Afoko camp in the NPP have decided to launch an all-out assault on Akufo-Addo at a late night meeting at the Airport West Hotel on Friday. The Afoko side are prepared to go all out to finish Akufo-Addo this week by a series of coordinated attacks on his person from bitter members of the NPP and journalists and they need our support to amplify the effect.
At the meeting were people like Paul Afoko, Andrew Awuni, Raphael Feli, Adakabre Frimpong-Manso, a journalist and long-time Alan & Afoko supporter and two members of Parliament.
It was agreed that to send a clear impression that the suspension of Paul Afoko will lead to certain doom for the Party, the attacks on the flagbearer need to be as vitriolic as possible and that everything should be done to arm us and our media to inflict more damage. We cannot afford to miss this opportunity. By the time this saga is over, the election should be a done deal for JM.
Interestingly, Alan Kyeremanteng who has been with Akufo-Addo recently is also in support of this plan. He and Kwabena Agyepong were called and put on a loud speaker to address the attendees before the meeting ended and they all endorsed the plan. Alan Kyeremanteng charged his supporters to go all out to ensure that Nana Akufo-Addo is left with no choice but to force the reinstatement of Afoko. He told the members that the Party is not a property of Nana Akufo-Addo and this is the time to prove that to him and advised them not to hesitate in dealing with Akufo-Addo because of the tour.
They have formed a writers group led by Andrew Awuni to prepare write-ups and attack lines for the coming week and it will be ready by Sunday evening. The attacks will focus on Akufo-Addo’s ethnocentric character and divisiveness and how he and his family want to hijack Party funds and other more serious stuff.
Let us concentrate the coming week for the NPP. Look out for all negative stories on Akufo-Addo and the NPP and share them widely on social media and whatsapp and keep repeating them on radio or tv if you get the opportunity.”
