Hearts management run secretariat without imprest

The management of Accra Hearts of Oak has been running the club for close to a year without imprest, Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

Grapevine sources close to the management have disclosed that the accountant of the club, who doubles as the administrative manager of the club, Hackman Aidoo, has been compelled to run the finances of the club without any imprest.

The source further revealed that the club becomes financially amputated anytime the board chairman of the club, Togbe Afede IV travels outside the country.

A management member who pleaded anonymity insisted that the club’s recruitment is crawling because any player who comes at the moment will have to wait until funds are released by the board chairman.

“While other clubs are seriously recruiting player, we have to wait for Togbe to arrive because there is no money. Any player we attempt to purchase slips away because our counterparts are ready on the market,” the source said.

The soft spoken management member added that the secretariat is just symbolic since they can not undertake any venture which demands financial fueling without having to fall on the board chairman.
