It is also very important, critically important, the enforcement and punitive provisions that must be factored into the whole gamut of reforms and measures to protect and secure the ballot in the exercising of the Ghanaian citizen's right to self-determination under the principle of universal adult suffrage within the confines of the law is addressed.
However, what cannot be acceptable by any measure, by any stretch of the imagination, by any standards, is a compromised document, a flawed base document around which all the other measures should necessarily revolve ie the voter roll, which makes the exercising of that right, practicable, with regards to the sanctity of the vote, the credibility of the process, the fairness and the transparency of the results of an election, all other measures considered.
That is why the continuous stalling of the process of getting that compromised base document addressed timeously, does not serve any serious purpose within the context of a credible election.
It is dragged needlessly, considering the fact that all stakeholders agree, the document as presently compiled, is just not credible, and the precedent has already been established as to how to deal with such a situation. This is a very legitimate position, and the persistent attempt to stymie or hinder the process does a huge disservice to the other measures that must come together to ensure the credibility of the elections. It is a recipe for disaster.

European Community also say no to Nana Addo.
ECOWAS disagrees with Nana Addo's campaign on the new voters register.
After all,these partners have helped Ghana to get a Biometric Voting System,Nana Addo always comes back to condemn the elections results and the register so nobody trust him again.That is the bottom line,he is not an honest politician that is why the International Community wants him out.I will advise NPP to look for a new flagbearer for 2016 before it's too late.Thank you.

In principle, i am not against a new register but all i want the npp to help me understand is how they are going to prevent what they say is wrong with the old register from happening again. They had access to the register before the 2012 election but could not identify the scanned pictures. If that is so, then probably, those pictures were added somewhere else. What guarantee do we have that they can prevent that from happening again. If the problem is with the nhia card, remember that several people do not have any other form of identification so are we going to disenfranchise all of them, leaving only the elite with passport?

It is not the duty of the NPP to help you understand how what is wrong with the Register will be stopped from happening again. It is the duty of all Ghanaians and especially the EC to prevent those things. We are all in Ghana ...

Or you were not in Ghana? If there is A NEW REGISTER AND WE FIND THAT THEY HAVE REPEATED THE SAME THING THIS TIME THERE WILL BE NO ELECTIONS! MAHAMAH CAN CONTINUE TO BE PRESIDENT!
