The EC works according to law and will apply only the law and not the decibels coming from the confused opposition and its allies

AUTHOR: MAHMOUD--- Mr. Mahama is exactly one of the visionless African leaders that have always been accused of misplacing their priorities. Does the NDC government think, despite the massive corruption, they can borrow recklessly and spend their way foolishly into another mandate in 2016, when the nation is over burdened with HIPC and workers wallowing in hunger and over taxed? Governance under the NDC government is all about deceit and 'opium of the people'. They enjoy everything under the sun but ask us to wait for our basic needs in heaven. And as they ask us to tighten our belts for future betterment, they have already loosened theirs for immediate consumption. They didn't even respect our intelligence when they asked us to wait for a paradise in three years. The truth is that, everything they promise is a mirage and we will never find comfort under them because; they are con-men with con plans.

The NPP, LMVC and Nana Addo woul not allow any other discussion on electoral reform to take place. It has always been their modus. Let us roll back our minds to Dec 2008, location EC Strong Room. Main fraudster identified: Kwabena Agyei Ageypong.
Mission: To offset NDC votes advantage with those of NPP
Plan: Call in fresh results from Manhia, Kwadaso and Asokwa all in Kumasi, three days after elections had ceased., when all votes from NDC strongholds had been received and counted. Even votes from Over sea areas in Upper East and North all received at EC strong room. But these three Kumasi constituencies kept faxing new updated figures to Kwabena Agyei Agyepong at the strong room until an alert NDC computer wizkid 'caught' him.
Result: Partially successful. Kwabena was able to prevent Prof Mills and NDC from a first round victory. He was even able to frogleap Nana Addo to the front with results from those three Kuamsi constiuencies. But he was stopped in his tracks. In desperation, Kwabena Agyepong stormed out in fury, cursing everyone that prevented him from changing the Ashanti region figures for the third time, three clear days after voting had ended.
Implication: This was the beginning of Nana Addo's woes. He has never recovered ever since the defeat of Kwabena Agyepong at the EC strong room. The next episode was the Visit of the 'Three NPP Wisemen to Afari Gyan" after Dec 2012. Their mission: To postpone the announcement of the results of the Presidential election. Mission failed, Afari Gyan refused, and pointed them to the court. Result: The bitter experience of the three musketeers Dr Pink Sheet alias You and I were not there, Jake the fat one and Nana Addo the perennial litigant. This last experience has spawned the offshoot of LMVC, and this New register request. No one dare stand in their way. Not even Kuffour or Rawlings who they have compromised. But now slowly as Kwabena did in 2008, they are slowly realising that they cannot sholve every Ghanaian away and have their way. Main objective: To stampede the EC into creating a new register. Plan B. Threat of war. Well, welcome to the next episode of "all die be die"

Madam Charlotte Osei the current and new EC Chair should take charge, and ensure the needed electoral reforms as well as the new, credible voters register Ghanaians are clamouring for, are addressed in time to ensure free, fair, credible and transparent elections in the interest of the peace and stability of this country.
In previous times where voting materials are carted to polling stations in NDC pick-up trucks and cars, where voting materials get to polling stations 4, 5 hours after the official time for elections, where faulty BV machines are sent to strongholds of the major political parties, where insufficient voting materials are sent to some polling stations, and all the other lapses that have characterized our elections, leading to rigging and fiddling of our election results need to be addressed conscientiously and systemically to mitigate against the deficiencies that continues to mar our elections.
Madam Charlotte Smith Kesson Osei has her work cut out for her and should, working in concert with the various stakeholders ensure the 2016 elections is effectively and efficiently and safely conducted to guarantee transparency and credibility and fairness and most importantly, safeguard the peace and stability of this country.
Ghana is looking at the strong leadership and institutional competence and efficiency and effectiveness that should necessarily be brought to bear on the Electoral Commission on the appointment of Madam Charlotte Osei to fix the badly damaged image, credibility and trustworthiness of the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

THE FALACY OF A CALL FOR A FRESH OR NEW VOTERS REGISTER.
Proponent of a new register grounded their agument on the grounds that over 80,000 of people with the same/similar pictures, portraits ,names etc which are simultaneously appearing on the Ghanaian and Togo Electoral register and by default or automatically these are deem to be Togolese citizens. For that matter the said people or voters are all hundred person Togolese who registered in Ghana. By extension, these are all foreigners who do not deserve to be on the Ghanaian voters’ register.This logic is highly absurd .
Should EC grant this jaundice /premature logic and proceed to prepare a fresh Register, is NPP going to prevent the people (80,000)of what they have identified(the same portrait, pictures, names) from re-registering again even if they are legitimate Ghanaians , or rather Ghanaians who clandestinely registered in Togo or the individual are of dual nationality?
If NPP failed in their attempt to prevent the Ghanaians who were wrongly branded as Togolese, just after the compilation of the new register with the same pictures, names ,portrait pop ups, and another group Ghanaians compare the new Compiled EC register, (same picture,names,portrait will pop up on the two registers) with Togolese register, the fellow or group will equally arrived at NPP jaundice conclusion.
By NPP standard, new register needed to be compile again.
The solution is not how many times a new register is prepared but rather identified deceased, foreigners, minors, double registration and expunched from the voter register to make it clean.
Are we going to prepare a new register anytime somebody discovered the following:
DECEASED PEOPLE ARE FOUND ON THE NEW REGISTER?
FOREIGNERS ARE IDENTIFIED ON THE REGISTER?
MINORS ARE FOUND ON THE REGISTER?
DOUBLE REGISTRATION ON THE REGISTER
CERTAINLY NOT.
NPP awake from your slumber and use prescribed constitutional means to purge the voters register.

When you too much hungry for power you make mistakes, he could have done the country a great service like Gen Buhari and Obasanjo did to Nigeria, they all formed their party when not in power so the constitution didn't favour nobody. Rawlings made a grievous mistake and the country is suffering out of that.
