Rawlings is not to be trusted because he has never been a good person. He claims to be against injustice yet incessantly denied others of a fair trial during his regime. The man has always been a senseless goon, with an ingrained disdain for any reasoned consensus. He killed senior army officers because he thought they enjoyed privileges at the expense of Ghanaians.

Any reasonable Ghanaian ought to ask the Rawlingses, what good they ever did for Ghana. As to whether NDC wants to distance themselves from Rawlings, I am not sure about that. I am willing to bet that, as authoritarian as he is, the expectation of being on equal footing with some boys who used to hang unto his coat tail, was never fathomed.
