The economic collapse of the country which has seen Ghana move from lower middle income economy to HIPC with an amazing time span of just 7 years of the John Mahama-led NDC gov't was just laid squarely and firmly on the Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur by President John Dramani Mahama as being totally responsible for this collapse.
Per the report, Prez. Mahama said and I quote, " I enjoy working with my Vice President . AS HEAD OF THE ECONOMIC PLANNING COMMITTEE, my Vice has initiated many policy interventions to keep this country running", end of quote.
John Mahama also said " Mr. Amissah Arthur really takes care of everything".
This is very striking when analyzed on two fronts within the context of the collapsed economy of this country .
First, what it reveals very, very significantly is, if John Dramani Mahama's assertion is true, then as far as the economic management of the country as concerned, the position as advanced by many a Ghanaian, that President. John Dramani Mahama is totally and fantastically clueless about what is going on, has been vindicated by President. John Mahama himself.
Secondly, it shows the many policy interventions of Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur the Vice President and head of the economic planning committee have not only not worked, they have failed spectacularly judging from the current state of our economy and the country.
The takeaway from this revelation is that, the better Ghana agenda touted by the Mahama-Amissah Arthur NDC gov't has failed terribly and President John Dramani Mahama and his Vice, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur should be roundly and massively fired at the ballot box in 2016.
The cluelessness of John Dramani Mahama coupled with the failed policies of Amissah-Arthur has not worked and the Mahama-led NDC gov't must go.
