The longest-serving chairman of the Premier League Board (PLB), Welbeck Yaw Abrah-Appiah, has described Black Stars coach Avram Grant as a ‘lazy man’ and poor a scout.

According to the experience football administrator, Grant’s excessive stay in Europe is the reason for his inability to identify and invite quality locally based players for even Black Stars friendly matches.

This pronouncement comes after the Israeli trainer excluded locally based players for the friendly match against Canada in the United States where the Black Stars drew 1-1.

“I find it difficult to agree with those who think our local based players are not qualified to be playing for the Blacks Stars.

"Our Coach is a lazy man, he shouldn’t be talking like that he even doesn’t watch matches and can't identity talents.

“If you had your assistant in charge of the CHAN team and there is a friendly in Washington what prevents you from adding some local players? This is because at least five or six players in the team will boost their morale and confidence for future call ups than still inviting the known faces,” he told Starr Sports.

Meanwhile, reports reaching Starr Sports indicate Abrah-Appiah, has decided to drop his tools after a 10-year illustrious reign at the helm of Ghana’s top-flight league.
