'Samuel Kuffour must apologise to Manhyia'

Former GHALCA Boss, Joseph Yaw Appiah has voiced his dismay at how Samuel Osei Kuffour came out to proclaim himself as President of Kumasi based Asante Kotoko ahead of an official announcement from Manhyia and has therefore prescribed an unqualified apology to Otumfour Osei Tutu II.

"I feel Sammy Kuffour must render an unqualified apology to Nana because maybe he (Kuffour) was approached to take over the club in secrecy but should have waited for Nana himself to break the news".

"Maybe he was elated to have been given the job because of the magnitude of the club but that shouldn't be an excuse because before you are given that Job, Nana would have seen something good in you." J.Y Appiah told Happy FM.

He further indicated that since Opoku Nti is still in the helms of affairs, it was a disrespectful act on Kuffour's part to put himself in that position before he was officially handed the job.

"Opoku Nti has not relinquished his position as the Chief Executive Officer of Kotoko and I feel it will be a mark of gross disrespect and
betrayal of (Opoku) and Nana for him to come out to declare the position before being officially crowned." Mr. Appiah added.

Sammy Kuffour finally met Otumfour Osei Tutu II on Wednesday afternoon at Manhyia where they had discussions pertinent to the Kotoko job.
