Now we can understand how valuable some of these judges find goats and why it is asked for as bribe in the Anas video. Clearly goats are more precious in our society and command a punishment far in excess of a baby based on this ruling. How crazy is this !!!!!!!

Perhaps it sounded like a small thing to the judge. This was an attempt to steal a baby and probably deprive it of ever knowing who its parents are and living the rest of his / her life in deception and also leaving a couple ...

Perhaps it sounded like a small thing to the judge. This was an attempt to steal a baby and probably deprive it of ever knowing who its parents are and living the rest of his / her life in deception and also leaving a couple devastated at the loss of a child and without any closure for the rest of their lives as to what happened to their baby and whether or not it's alive. All this is forgiven for 480 Ghana Cedis! This is not a crime that any amount of money should be able to pardon.

It is not everything that you read at Ghanaweb,some of us read from other sources since Ghanaweb does not bring every news to readers.

It is only in less developed world that desperate women who stole babies are given custodian sentences. In the UK such women are given suspended sentences and community service.

What's a GHc500 fine compared to a 2 year sentence? She should have served a 2 year sentence as a deterrent for others. No serious judiciary would fine a potential murderer for such an insignificant amount of money. She must ...
