It is easier said than done that the Europeans we want to sell these entities to would inject capital into them but since we gave Ghana Telecom as a "gift" to Vodafon, where's the investment that they injected into it? Before they came, Ghana Telecom was planning on expanding the line-line (WE NEED THE LINE-LINE FOR BUSINESS & FAXES) but when they came that investment was put on ice and they convinced us that we need to "LEAP FROG". In telecommunication, you can not cut corners and run big business on CELL PHONE.
They looked like they're doing well simply because they were able to retrenched all the hangers on that were political appointees from both parties and took care of over 3000 ghost names of which, both political parties used to fund their political activities with. And with a slim-down and structured pay-roll which they're able to undertake without fear or favor, they look good but are NOT investing because their shareholders in EU who used retirement funds of older Europeans want a better return-700% - to take care of their contributors. Vodafon did NOT have the money they used to bribe Kufour for our GT they used investment banks to raise the money and that money belonged to retirees.
Our problem is we lacked the political will to retrenched the party foot soldiers we have put on the pay rolls of these govt entities and the ghost name we infused in them to cater for party activities. Those who benefit from the ghost names contribute hugely for their parties for influence.
Each party's big guy that they put in charge during their time of power corners a certain amount of ghost names for themselves.
This is a MAFIA collaboration - a secret society - and they know each other and are aware of who got which number of ghost names. NPP/NDC members of these corporations knew themselves.

Ghana governments have brought ECG down beyond repair, they owe half a billion USD they will/can never pay back, ECG being probably the most corrupt organization in the country etc. And now there is the last resort call for private international investors. So how much are we going to pay for power when this new company takes over? Is it true that we will see an immediate increment in tariff by a 500% margin? If it's true then we must seriously invest in solar system .

It may be true dumsor cannot be solved in this 2015/2016 election cycle budget but it can be solved through strategic and a prioritized budget allocations. It starts with both NDC and NPP publishing every document, including technical drawings, and anything to do with electricity generation and distribution. It is only when both technical drawings and planning documents have been vetted by all those Ghanaians with expertise the nation can see how budget allocation amounts are appropriate or underfunded to achieve success in a proposed timeline.
Has the NDC and NPP not played patty cakes or musical chairs running Ghana long enough at least since 1992? Did the NDC and NPP presumed smart ones not realize the status of our national electricity production, distribution and consumption patterns? Could either NDC or NPP have had serious plans for economic growth based on industry? I doubt it if Ghana's electricity had been a hodgepodge of silliness by both parties. Let J. J. Rawlings come on the carpet and show how anything done on electricity production and or distribution fit in with a national plan. Let the mighty Kufour provide his scheme and a national plan on electricity? I bet anyone my last cedi that there is none. Buying generators for electricity production does not supplement existing system in a strategic and effective distribution way if it is but for a temporary political fix.
This has been the story of all the CPP haters in Ghana who cannot point to anything achieved in Ghana other than accrued national debt and a few rich people who “earned” their money by stealing, dealing and partaking in corrupt bribery schemes since 1966. We are all finding out it is not easy to govern without foresight, wisdom, ideas, ideals and love of country. The 1966 coup opened the flood gate to charlatans and classroom educated but ignorant people who have not seen an easy way out in life they would not embrace. Guess what y'all? There is nothing free in this world without attached strings. So those who promised us our freedoms to misbehave and sabotage our country have won without delivering a thing; most of those have bailed out and are living elsewhere in the Diaspora while we burn in Ghana.

The situation in Ghana is sordid and morbid and moribundus -a -um!. Nobody has the country at heart. Everybody in a position of authority is bent on indulging in the Mahama administration's open policy of "Create and share". It is a "country broke ooh! country no broke ooh! We are in"!situation.
Just this afternoon, CCTV News announced in its 2 o'clock newscast that Nigeria is preparing to cut off gas supplies to Ghana for non-payment of our bills! Gas shortage on top of the untold suffering as a result of Dumsor?
It is about time the whole country were rolled up like a mat and closed down. It is shameful. It is disgraceful. Everybody is seriously milking the country. Roll up the country and shut Ghana down!!!!!!

How much did John Mahama loot in 2 months before the 2012 elections? It was 8.7billion new Ghana cedis. At the time that was about 4.5billion dollars. Now going by the investment amount of $400million dollars for the next 10 years, we are looking at exactly the same amount that was looted within just 2 months by this John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't.
So within 2 months an infrastructure investment for 10 years was looted just like that from the national purse.
You don't engage in such irresponsible recklessness, such criminal thievery of the national purse within a record time of 2 months and tell Ghanaians that, dumsor cannot be solved through the budget.
The Mahama NDC gov't should make dumsor a thing of the past as promised, because this level of dumsor is not what they came to meet, and that investment money of 10 years that was stolen within 2 months should be returned to address the self-inflicted dumsor crisis now.
