Ghana does not need any new voters register,we should just learn from the west how they do it with continuos registration of people who reach the voting age,opening a voters register few days and close it is just not right,people could reach the voting age the day after the register is closed,people could travel and may not be in the country during that period and will not be able to register again up until it is opened again.

NPP should just get lost with this their primitive idea,I'm even surprise some of them in the US calling for new voters register when where they live there is nothing like that,it is just like not knowing what is going on around them.

It is the matter of principle.The EC is consulting all Political Parties in connection with the need or otherwise of a new voter register. If the majority of the Political Parties want a new register, then it can be considered. But is the Parties the meeting see there is no need for a new voter register, why should the EC make one. After all a new voter register will not guarantee that it will not be bloated. In the Ashantin minors were forced to Register and vote. The same would happen. But who is even thinking that all those who are cause of the bloated register are NDC supporters?

We should be very careful in this country. 2011-2012 the so called "wise Ghanaian" I mean the NPP battled the EC and forced the hands of the EC not with only the biometric voters register but also biometric verification all this was introduced by the EC but they still lost the election. What did we see after the election the so-called honest men in order to gain popularity stood on the conscience of the party members to use the Supreme Court case as a stepping stone to relaunch their political careers. Talk of Nana Addo, Bawumia, Jake and Philip Addison you will really understand why the NPP were not able to analyze the shortcomings of Nana-Bawumia ticket. when on Election Day you fly all your family out of country and you don't understand why you should be on long queue to go and vote but you prefer to vein your suit and condition car whiles the villager wakes up to join the queue to vote. After that you cry foul whiles most of your supporters voices are only heard during this unnecessary exchanges with the EC. It is so sad that the NPP are not giving the Ghanaian citizens an option but to make the country one party state.

There were so many questions that exposed the fact that the voters register was over-bloated eg the difference of 500,000 voters between the parliamentary votes and that of the presidential votes which clearly favoured John Mahama. That has not been explained even as at today.
