The NHIS will continue facing challenges as long as we as a country refuse to do the right thing.
There are many times patients go to hospitals and after diagnosis, these patients go to the hospital pharmacy to take drugs that were prescribed by the doctor only to be told that there are no medicine.
The ugly side of it is that medicine prescribed to patient are billed on NHIS card but the patient however was referred to go and buy medicine outside the hospital.
I was a victim to this cancerous treatment and confronted the doctor in question in Aflao and he apologizes.
I wonder how the NHIS with all its educated members can not come out with more serious measures to manage the scheme.
I wish I can have the opportunity to work with these people????
