I am rather surprised that a seasoned Lawyer like Gabby Otchere Darko,would go to Court knowing very well that the demonstrators, himself included veered off the approved route marked for the demonstrators and wanted to get to the EC Offices when a High Court had ordered them not to. You can go to Court but that would be a futile exercise. You can demonstrate again but if you veer off the approved route the Police should deal mercilessly with you. The best way forward for us all is to amend the existing Electoral Register.

Stupid and good for nothing Gabby Otchere Darko. Go and sue the Metropolitan Police in the UK. In the UK can you go to the Parliament House at Westminter or the premises of the UK Electoral Commission or N0. 10 do demonstrate or picket there? People who want to demonstrate in the UK do so at Trafalgar Square under police protection. Here in Ghana, you think the black man is a fool so you would defy police and court orders and still attempt to besiege the offices of the Electoral Commission to demonstrate and picket. Proceed to the courts and sue the Ghana Police administration. Gone are the days when you could bribe the judges with GHC 6,000 and goats. Your case would be thrown out and incur costs as well. Next time try again and you would go home with a broken jaw.

Those arm merchants are waiting to cash in to sell sophisticated weapons for us to destroy the little that we have built over so many years of failed self governance. A responsible government would by now have set up a genuine committee of enquiry to look into it and ensure the right thing was done. We claim we do not have money for the sanctity of our democracy but we can transport $4,000,000 by plane get it taxed and send thousands of supporters free to Brazil in the name of soccer even though like everything else even our soccer industry is failing too!
Please fellow citizens wise up. Let those in the helms of affairs be accountable or it our children who will suffer the most!

It is about time that Ghanaians take the law in their hands because it is their right to seek for redress when their individual rights is trampled upon. Thank God that Gabby is taking the initiative. Ever since the flood disaster that claimed over 70 lives no one has come forward to SUE either the city of Accra nor the government. It is the negligence of these two institutions that led to the floods that claimed so much lives and destruction of properties not talking about those who were injured and those who are still missing. It is the government's and the city to make sure that the drainage of Accra could take floods and not resipults in spillover that led to this unfortunate situation. All those who suffered under this should talk to a lawyer and sue for redress. It is about time that Ghanaians holds those in authority accountable for their neglect.

The police has no right to go to court to seek an injunction to stop demonstrations just because it does not favor the government. It is their right and it should be allowed. Does Gabby and other ignorant kinfolks think roads in Ghana should be reserved for mechanized vehicles or pedestrians? Would Gabby say that it should be legal for people to casually or otherwise walk anywhere that is presumed to belong to the public? How about the homes and bungalows of officials?

The above questions are necessitated by those events he partook in. For even though the public own roads in Ghana, (and not only the NPP privileged few) pedestrians do not have reserved rights over motorized vehicles except for designated crossings. Participants in the demonstration that led to police beatings were very aware of the limitations placed on the marchers. Organizers of the march along with supporters who are hell bent of making Ghana ungovernable chose to ignore the rules of the game and were subjected to police enforcement of peace and order.

If Gabby and others want to act like hooligans and saboteurs that they are they should be ready to face the music of Ghana's law enforcement agencies.

The bloated register acknowledged by all and sundry, cannot be a credible document for the 2016 elections and the need for a credible register is a critical necessary prerequisite for a transparent incident free and credible elections in this country and to safeguard our nascent democracy.
Increasingly however, Ghanaians across the length and breadth of this country from Tumu to Tema, Bawku to Keta, Wenchi to Hohoe, Goaso to Bimbila have suffered various forms of the Mahama NDC gov't's police of institutionalized violence, mayhem, brutality, thuggery and organized chaos to suppress rising resentment and discontent, to intimidate, to cower, to put fear into the masses expressing their frustrations against the failed leadership of his NDC administration.
Students in the North, slum settlers in the capital, indigenes in the middle belt of the country, and almost everybody in this country has faced the increasing intimidatory actions of the John Dramani Mahama NDC appointed Mark Woyongo and James Agalga led Ministry of Interior which has oversight responsibility of the John Mahama appointed Inspector General of Police Mr. Alhassan, whose Police Service falls under the Police Council, headed by the Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur.
Ghanaians are saying the institutionalized thuggery, violence and organized chaos by the security apparatus of state at the coercion and orders of the John Mahama/Amissah Arthur NDC gov't to suppress, intimidate and cower the masses, exercising their constitutional rights in a democracy cannot not and will not shake the spirit of Ghanaians yearning for change from the failed leadership and the failed governance of the Mahama-led NDC administration.
Ghanaians are saying the failed governance of the Mahama NDC gov't MUST GO and no amount of violence, no amount of thuggery, violence, mayhem and organized chaos by the security apparatus of state would cower and intimidate Ghanaians who have lost absolute confidence in the Mahama NDC gov't.
The failed leadership of the John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't will have to go in 2016. Ghanaians say, enough is enough.
