This is not news any more. It's now a fact that there are some individuals within the NPP leadership criminally in bed with the NDC party, and Kufour himself has endorsed and accepted that fact. There are NDC hired agents implanted in the NPP leadership to destroy the party's fortunes in the 2016 elections, and that must be investigated thoroughly and the perpetrators punished to set another milestone for our democratic dispensation.

This is the mother and father of all electoral malpractices that led to the removal of Nixon from the White House, and NPP should not sit idle by while some unscrupulous hired agents destroy the democratic will of the people of Ghana to choose their leaders freely and democratically. Contrary to what the discredited former EC Chairman said, this is another example of how elections are rigged far away from polling stations.

“You inherited an economy with the highest resources in the history of Ghana. Tax resources, four times higher than the NPP; Cocoa, three times higher; Gold, three times higher; you have borrowed more than all the governments put together and still we can’t feel a better economy, then you have failed. Mahama deserves F in economic management,” Bawumia asserted.

Speaking in an interview with Nsempawura on a Koforidua-based Eastern FM, the former Deputy Governor said for instance, the NDC government inherited a total debt of GHC 9.5 billion in 2009 and has increased it to GHC 90 billion within six years.

By the end of the year, Ghana’s debt will hit about US$ 40 billion looking at the current borrowing trend, he predicted.

With the sum of US$ 40 billion, he said, a good management team will allocate just US$ 2 billion to each region for development but the contrary is happening under the NDC government.

In economic management, every government with such an amount of money should be able to pay nurses, teachers, doctors, NHIS, and take care of all the social intervention programmes in Ghana, Dr. Bawumia analysed.

According to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, President Mahama and the NDC government can best be described as a “toxic mixture of incompetent and corruption which has exploded into ‘Wahala’ and Suffering”.

He feared for the future of the Ghanaian youth under the NDC administration, and challenged the youth to join the NPP to recapture power from the NDC in the 2016 General elections.

The elders know more than me and you and can decide to act just to save the party. The fact that he had been elected does not mean he can destroy the party for his parochial interest. After all, he is leading people and if the people feel that he is not performing to the best of their interest, they have the right to act before it is too late. Let the Council tell what it knows that others don't and justifies the suppression and victimization of Afoko. What part of the NPP Constitution did Afoko breach? The Public must know. If the Council cannot be transparent enough, it risks all reasonably speculation that it has only capitulated to the longstanding goal of the Akufo-Addo camp to get rid of Afoko and Agyapong. If it got rid of Agyapong, too, it would all become too obvious that it has bought into Akufo-Addo's vile scheme. So, it took the least opportunity to victimize Afoko but left Agyapong untouched for now. But the ultimate repercussions would be devastating to the NPP. Not Afoko.

Meanwhile, the CID must not waste any time in getting to the bottom of the charges leveled against Freddie Blay and the Treasurer. We would be closely watching.

I made that suggestion yesterday, under Afoko & Agyepong to be impeached, that Nana Akufo-Addo and some of the party bigwigs aka Elders should ask both to voluntarily RESIGN or force them out and promise them the following:

1) That they would be allowed to play significant roles in the upcoming campaign;

2) Promise them that they would be given high-powered positions if the NPP were to win in 2016; and

3) To compensate them with some mouth-watering departing monetary package aka golden parachute.

If these three steps are offered them, I think they would REASON with the party to EXIT honorably, instead of being pushed out in disgrace. Their rocky relationship with the rank and file of the party is damn detrimental to the chances of the party in 2016, since Ghanaians are watching that if the NPP can’t take care of basic party business, then how the hell could they take care of the nation’s business? Enough of the bickering is enough.

This kind of unreliable, not trustworthy kind of man "even wants his mandate to be renewed" You have an NDC as a party who in opposition experienced this same challenges, where Nana Konadu formed her own party, Obed Asamoah did same and even the founder of the party, Mr Rawlings had accused vociferously his party of deep rooted and serious cases of corruption. You have a President whose brother relying on the leverage of him was able to borrow from the Merchant Bank and the ADB alike. Repercussions of that is that, Merchant Bank went bankrupt had to be sold cheaply to FORTIZ; ADB is now on the stock exhange on public capital solicitations. It was going to come to this from the way things were going. At some point it was going to be, will the whole NPP party and the whole of Ghana forego a CHANGE in their circumstances in the year 2017 with an NPP and Akufo Addo Presidency of badly needed good governance or a few elements were going to prevent Ghana and NPP from bringing about a CHANGE, from the grave and collapsed state of the country and the unending, unbearable suffering of Ghanaians. And from the look of things, it is becoming apparent those few elements who by their actions or inactions, were in the process of standing in the way of CHANGE that Ghana badly needs from the failed leadership and collapsed state of the country under the Mahama NDC gov't are about getting their wishes granted.
The National Chairman of the NPP miscalculated the wishes and aspirations of not just the NPP but Ghanaians in general yearning for CHANGE, and it has come to bite him hard where the good Lord parted him. Compared to his compatriot in the NDC party, it seems the Chairman of the NPP is more concerned with playing to an "imaginary gallery" in the public domain, than exercising the kind of discipline and emotional intelligence required of his office in addressing issues of the NPP party.
Secondly, the alleged action of his brother in the death of a Regional Chairman of the NPP party had become a drag since it put him in direct confrontation with a section of the NPP party and Ghanaians, and it was definitely going to be a case of whether to sacrifice the Chairman and whatever voter bloc he brought to the party, or maintain him and take the whole party and Ghanaians down, the proverbial hit seemingly, from the resulting mess and the perceived disloyalty to the agenda of the NPP party.
In effect the Chairman of the NPP party had bitten more than he could chew, and needed to take a break from party affairs for a while to allow the systems and structures to function effectively.
At the end it came down to, should one individual be allowed to sacrifice the CHANGE Ghana and NPP badly, badly needs, and Paul Awentami Afoko it seems is beginning to lose out, and Ghana and NPP is ready to take that gamble.
That is a very serious decision and shows the NPP means business with the direction it wants to be going. Hopefully, the Chairman and the party manages to settle the matter because Ghana and NPP is totally ready to move on with or without elements scheming against the CHANGE Ghana and NPP deserves, and at this moment it is a gamble Ghana and NPP is ready to take fully and forcefully.

This demand by the NPP Council of Elders is exactly what the Akufo-Addo camp has, ever since the Primaries, sought for. The Council has simply capitulated to the awful insidious machinations of the Akufo-Addo faction of the NPP. And it is a big shame unto the Council!

It is only by the faction's own devious schemes that the Party has suffered all this seemingly endless chaos. Where was the Council when the Akufo-Addo shenanigans organized the violent assault on Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong at the very onset of the assumption of Office?

Once again, the clear discriminatory proclivity of the Akufo-Addo camp has reared its head. Afoko is an easy target, huh? It is time someone stood up to Akufo-Addo in the NPP to demand that he step down as the Flagbearer because his actions, though quiet, have been divisive and ripped the Party apart.

I would hope the Nyaho-Tamakloes, Wireko-Brobbeys and the Mpianis would all stand up to condemn this outrageous action by the NPP Council of Elders.
