  People should be willing to expose these corrupt officials to the media as it is sometimes done overseas.

  This brings to light a case currently pending at the Human Rights Court in which a medical practitioner was implicated with a mental illness and sacked from the Ghana Health Service through an indefinite suspension to cover massive corruption in Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital in which a corrupt management was making money at the expense of patients life.One particular case that led to the doctor's dismissal was a teenager by name Patience Sakpetey who died in Effia Nkwanta Hospital because she could not pay an illegal fee of 50 ghana cedis for blood transfusion services.The unfortunate demise of patience Sakpetey because of just 50 ghana cedis bribe she couldn't afford had huge publicity in both social and traditional media exposing a hospital very notorious for corruption and illegalities badly.The Medical Superintendent of the hospital Dr.Paul K.Ntodi who had serious differences with the young doctor because of his anti-corruption stance quickly pointed an accusing finger at him as the mole who leaked the story to the media just because he was the casualty officer on duty that night who attended to the deceased teenager.Dr.Paul K.Ntodi in a management meeting vowed to get the young practitioner sacked from the Ghana Health Service if he does not leave the hospital.He then proceeded to summarily dismissed the doctor indirectly from the hospital by excluding his name from the Emergency/Casualty Duty Roster and not posting him to any unit as well.When the stranded doctor visited his office as part of processes to inquire why,Dr.Ntodi was mute,refusing to talk to him not to talk of offering an explanation for his action.The doctor knew of the grand conspiracy against him in years of confrontation with the backing of the then Regional Director of Health Linda Vanotoo and subsequently took his case to CHRAJ,Western Region where he narrated years of ordeal under Dr.Ntodi who eventually forced him to go for a psychiatry assessment against his will with the report kept away from him in secret.Dr.Ntodi was act to respond in writting by CHRAJ and the dismissed doctor asked to react to his claims of violent confrontation with other staff that he used as bases to tug the doctor as suffering a mental illness.He was badly flawed at CHRAJ in a letter to the CHRAJ Director exposing massive corruption under cover and persecution of discerning voices with the doctor narrating years of personal ordeal under this callous and inhuman medical superintendent.He was subsequently force to reinstate the young doctor and produce a copy of the psychiatry report he was hiding from him since it didn't favour him.Angered and disgraced by his failure to sabotage a subordinate,he decided to embark on a ruthless, relentless mission of destruction until he finally got him sacked from the Ghana Health Service in December 2012 in a grand conspiracy with the hierarchy of the GHS involving then Health Minister Alban Bagbin,current Majority Leader.In a callous and heartless persecution of the young doctor,he was accused of suffering from a 'possible delusional disorder'in a letter signed by Ebenezah Appiah Denkyira DG,GHS copied to Bagbin as Health Minister and was subsequently sacked through an indefinite suspension on the bases that he refused compulsory assessment and treatment.It actually confirmed a conspiracy to victimize the young doctor since the GHS came to this conclusion without the doctor presenting himself by making the argument in a reply letter to the Director General copied to the Health Minister that he was a target because of his anti-corruption stance and have suffered harsh maltreatment and abuse on grounds of same.He also referred to the fact that he had numerous psychiatry assessment with a final report clearing him as having no mental illness and rather charging authorities to be fair in their dealings with him without prejudice,the very report kept in secret away from him.The doctor subsequently took his case to the high court.It has been dragging on since 2012 in a deliberate attempt to gag up the case in favor of Ghana Health Service in the midst of the dismissed doctor actually suffering two assassination attempts prompting him to write to the IGP/PRO at police headquarters for police inquiry into his case without any reply anyway.The AG who have been joined in the case keep on adjourning the case with all the luxury and with the excuse that they are yet to investigate the Ghana Health Service mysteriously right under the watch of his lawyer and the sitting judge.The AG who refused to enter defense since November 2014 in the case on behalf of GHS surprisingly will tell the court before the Judge that authorities at GHS and Health Ministry are refusing to co-operate when they are the very body to enforce the investigations to ensure justice and fairness.As to why his lawyer is allowing the AG a field day by routinely adjourning the case by spade of months on pretext of investigating the GHS is another mystery.As to why the judge sits aloof in this urgent human rights issue is another mystery.The doctor who have been a victim of gross abuse and and inhuman treatment is still unemployed since December2012,his life truncated with the wicked perpetrators of this criminal act enjoying the last laugh because of power and wealth at play.In deed one of his numerous lawyers ostensibly compromised in the case once told him he will never win the case because powerful figures are involved.It was the same lawyer whom he paid huge sums of money for his services as counsel who told him authorities in GHS told him he is 'loud mouth' and they are happy to get rid of him and then threw his file at him.Corruption can never be fought in this Country's Public Institutions because high profile people deeply involved in it are basically immune to the laws of this Country not just by virtue of their stolen wealth but because they have deep links with powerful figures in the judiciary,police and top government functionaries.Lack of trust in the justice system of Ghana which is largely selective and bias in favor of top notched white collar criminals will have serious future repercussions if care is not taken.Just yesterday i heard a story of one party shooting others to death whiles the case is in court with the reason that we don't have a law in Ghana since the law only favors the rich and powerful.In deed most corruption cases in public institutions basically run as private corperate entities involve high profile persons who persecute and victimize others perceived as a threat to the rot to maintain its sanctity.Unfortunately they are the 'untouchables' even before the law who shield and protect them rather than expose them.Why should the AG which is supposed to be the embodiment of law and order in deterring corruption in public institutions take 8 months to investigate a case bordering on corruption and criminality in the Ghana Health Service with the excuse that they are refusing to co-operate with no other court but the Human Rights Court reluctant and unperturbed in the wake of gross abuse of the victim's right to work and earn a living in his own Country.The lesson in this case is that you stand the risk of being blackmailed and persecuted if you speak against drenching corruption in public institutions without any protection because the judiciary obviously
