What a nation we have? And guess what! When very concerned Ghanians is sadly lamenting on this rot the has eating into the socio-economic fabric of the maame Ghana, we have the two old Retirees, Professors Kwarteng and Lungu wasting their time telling Ghanaians what they already know,ie Nkrumah was, and is still, the greatest African ever. So what? I don't know what those two septuagenarian /crazy-bald heads would do if Nkrumah was the inventor of the Apollo Eleven Spaceship. Prof Mills set a whole year to celebrate Nkrumah's achievements and what he stood for, but this needless and wasted effort did not shake the 1% voter population supporting base of Nkrumah's CPP. Go back and critically study the records of the previous leaders then come back to tell us if there is a leader who had led a government that has crippled Ghana's economy to her knees as the Mills-Mahama led NDC government has done in the last seven years. Which year did Kuffuor spent US$4.2 billion above (OVER) budget despite all the development we saw in that eight years. Devious judgment debts, one person takes home US$35 million with no work done, massive frauds in various projects like GYEEDA and others, you name them, even the recent National Service schemes that bolted millions of cedis. Piles of gold bars going to Turkey and Iran, which area in this government have we not seen looting going on. During Kuffuor's tenure Ghana was named the economic gateway to Africa, today that has changed to the most corrupt country in Africa. Can you talk about the hope and the joy we saw in the faces and lives of many hardworking Ghanaians during Kuffuors tenure today in this dumsor dumsor era? Ghana would have been completely collapsed by now, had it not been that eight years of the Kuffuor NPP administration, it's a hard take for you die hard NDC sympathizers but that is the truth and Mahama himself knows it. After all he wouldn't be living in the gorgeous presidential palace he enjoys today.

If you were smart, you'd understand this guy is talking about democracy, which is our problem.

WE all say the change in the country when the military ruled with iron hands and were slapping everyone. We equally saw that during Acheampong's regime when people were beaten for being late to work and disgraced: everyone acted responsibly.

Now, changing into democracy by Rawlings (An act totally in the right direction for any normal state) turned out to be a different issue in Ghana since those Rawlings called to work with refused to carry out his recommendations in the management of the state because he (Rawlings) had no more power to impose his will.

Even Jesus Christ himself would find it difficult to rule in Ghana if he were president. Those he would call to help him would do everything to sabotage him in order to steal.

This guy is right, democracy is not good for black Africa, but finding good military leaders to champion a good cause will be another headache.

Why bring Rawlings into this when it is actually his failure to bring any changes into the judiciary, not even any reform, not to talk of revolutionary changes - and there a lotta things that could b done to the judiciary inst'nally - that is responsible for the rot in the judiciary which is now being exposed in a dramatic fashion?

Fact is, the judiciary has always been corrupt and one can't blame Rawlings and the NDC for these rotten ones either. Even common plebeians know that; just as everyone knows about the Police corruption! I am waiting with bated breadth to see if someone I knew very well will appear in the list. Hmm! Justice You-Don't-Even-Have-To-Spend-Your-Salary. And that was when he was a magistrate! Phew!

So, as I was saying, Rawlings' failure to reform the Judiciary and setting up the parallel system of Tribunal to administer justice and a parallel policing forces in the shape of the Commandos and even the Army, left both the Judiciary and the Police as they were before 31st Dec. 1981. With the return to Const'nal rule and the effective abolition and return to the old order, corruption returned to Ghana with a vengeance.

It's the system we live in. Those with no money and connections are left rotting in police cells for years by their enemies even if innocent. Those guilty but with money are freed by police commanders and judges.

It is quite ironic that a political party which owes it's genesis, on a crest wave of anti-corruption through the barrel of the gun, upon transmogrifying itself into a democratic party, is now an unapologetic fanatical adherent of the religiosity of everything corruption, looting and plunder with their corruption so much infused in the Judicial set-up as to make a sick mockery of the rule of law underpinning any democracy.
How did Ghana come and get to this point?
Clearly, Ghana is sick, Ghana is very, very sick and the Mahama NDC gov't has inflicted a deep sickness and canker of nauseating and calamitous and unpardonable egregious and dangerous corruption never before witnessed in this country. It is horribly putrid, it stinks to the high heavens, and it is grossly untoward.
Indeed, the Founder and leader of the military jingoism that birthed this NDC party, Flt. Lt. Jeremiah John Rawlings was at pains to describe the corruption that had so subsumed and consumed the Mahama NDC gov't and the society as a whole, which sometime past led to him usurping power at the time, as less than 10% of what currently prevails today and it is very, very dangerous.
Corruption is now literally oozing and pouring out of the orifices, the ears, nose, mouth indeed everywhere under this John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't.
Never in the history of this country has such dangerous and brutal corruption so afflicted this country in such a crass manner.
The reality is Ghana is definitely under a siege of institutionalized, brazen and wanton corruption under this John Dramani Mahama NDC gov't as to be described as grotesquely unhealthy and repressive of the growth and development agenda of this country and there must be a change from the status quo.
There must be a CHANGE. Ghana deserves a RADICAL CHANGE at the ballot box in 2016, because this sordid state of affairs in totally unacceptable and completely untenable. CHANGE MUST COME IN THE YEAR 2016, and the Mahama NDC gov't needs to go.
