I wonder where such a high rated visit by Hershey Officials lead Ghana ultimately. I would rather wish Hershey has plans to set up some of its processing Plants here in Ghana. We deserve to have a Chocolate Factory of World Class status here, too. We are tired of being the mules to till the land to produce the raw materials for others to profit multifold from at our expense.
What would the Students from Pennsylvania be doing in Ghana exactly? Wouldn't we benefit more if it had been experts in Cocoa products manufacturing to teach us the skills we could use to build and operate our own factories here, too?
If Hershey is worried about deepening our knowledge of developing Cocoa to make us a viable competition to them, then it should hit the ground running to build its subsidiaries here that could at least employ some of our locally educated population. Then we could also have some of the many byproducts of processing Cocoa for Chocolate here at home to use and export. At least, some export taxes would fall on our plate to augment what we gain from selling the raw Beans.
I wish our Officials would pursue this line of relating to Hershey promptly.
