"Victims of extortion", you're damn right - that's what the giver is. The taker is always a govt rep or politician abusing their power to enrich themselves. The focus has to be on the demander or taker.

Bribes are demanded, but not just given. Imagine a village boy with a perfect 6 from the latest WAEC results seeking admission to do Medicine at Legon. If he presents his results to the admissions office without an accompanying envelop, the office clerk would tell him to go back and come again in two weeks time. Meanwhile, his colleague the MP's son would come to the admissions office with his father the Honourable and would instantly be assured of his place on the course, even though he also got the same perfect 6!
Where do we go from here? The giver refused to understand that an 'accompanying envelop' is an undocumented requirement. If such a case is reported to the anti-corruption body, where would it lead? The village boy would be advised to go into farming rather than waste his time trying to do medicine! That is Ghana! Mahama's Ghana!

Those who demand kickbacks before awarding contracts, and those who demand bribes before rendering services are the two horns of the bull. Those who give because they are given no other choice are only the tail of the bull. You tackle the bull by the horns, not the tail. Focusing on the giver is like tackling the bull by the tail instead of the horns.

How do you identify willing candidates in bribe giving?they should rather probe those that re in the public domain like woyome,Isofoton and the rest, they may also turn to Kufour for names of people who want to bribe him when he pinched himself and said they should go and come next time. How I wish I can take back my votes I gave him to become president but I can live with that, what I can not live with is hear him comment on issues that he think is wrong with the current government. When price Charlse visited Ghana under Rawlings he was then an opposition leader,Kufour told him in his next visit he ll be president,he openly to Kufour to tell that to Ghanaians, finally when he became president he decided to wine and dine with big name and ignored the very people who made it possible for him to be president, what a low mind.Guess he has been waiting for NDC to thank him for rejecting his own party in 2008 when he gave them power on a silver platter,I now understand why Koku Anyidoho said he hate to see his face on TV.
