How many of the cars on the roads in Ghana have roadworthy tires?
The tire was okay and took them to Ho and almost back but due to carelessness on the part of the driver and the overloading of the vehicle it burst tire which the inexperienced driver didn't know how to handle.
The ignorant journalists on the vehicle were part of the problem.
Some of you this journalists are just plain useless, they didn't see the tires were worn out before they went on board two times,is it only worn out tires that can burst or flattened?

Even an idiot knows worn out tyres are a serious danger. That's why it brought them, according to you, "almost back". Did you expect the passengers to inspect the tyres of a bus provided by the PRESIDENCY? Surely, they were entitled assume it was roadworthy. If, as you suggest roadworthy tyres are uncommon in Ghana, then it's a matter the police ought to start clamping down on.

We are too sympathetic to wrong doers that is why nothing is going right. If an official does something wrong, every effort is made protect the offender from punishment. The worst culprits in this include the police, doctors and nurses in particular, public officials. Sadly our society tolerates such cover-ups. The Car Rental company should be revealed.

None of the mini buses, tro-tro etc are road worthy. Death traps. You pay money (bribe to DVLA middlemen) then you get a fake certificate, because DVLA do not do their work properly. What country!

Find below the fucntions of the commission
NRSCs Broad Functions to:
Undertake nation-wide planning and development of road safety programmes and activities
Co-ordinate, monitor and evaluate road safety activities, programmes and strategies.
Develop and maintain a comprehensive database on road traffic accident and publish reports related to road safety
Set standards for road safety equipment and ensure compliance
Where in the above is it stated that the NRSC is responsible for the road worthiness of vehicles including their tyres.
All these are symptoms of poor and lazy journalism

The journalists do not learn. Keep spewing out one mediocre story after the other. Their attempts to sensationlise this story will not work.
You get Gifty Anti and co shouting themselves hoarse on conditions of service.
Ghanaians have moved on from topics such as conditions of service. The doctors rendered that irrelevant to the national agenda last week through their strike.

Nonsense. Purely an accident? Accidents happen when there are right conditions (inputs). Such inputs could be bad roads, worn out tyres, over speeding and drunkenness.

It beats my imagination that Ghanaian journalists who know it all; just mention the subject and you will hear their diatribe on the issue will sit in a non-road worthy car, see the driver speeding, had two close shaves but still remain in the vehicle until the accident. Why they did not get the driver to stop and abandon the vehicle surprises me. As for this report, more details are needed before one can conclude. RIP my brother.

Was there any Pre - Checks done and signed on the Vehicle before it took off from Accra to Ho. This is what tool with which the road worthiness of said vehicle could be determined. If there was no well documented Pre-Start Check for that vehicle before it took off from Accra, then Joe Debra is telling lies. It could have well been noticed if Pre-Start Check had been done on vehicle that its tires were defective and could lead to accident. This accident could not have happened.
